I think a further album co-starring Dexter Gordon was planned, but never could be realised because of the sudden death of Leo Parker. That would have been a great reprise of the famous Dexter-Leo Parker stuff from the forties for Savoy. But at least they could re-record Dexter with Bud (also former Savoy collaboration) on " Our Man in Paris". An under appreciated artist. Junior Mance Happy Time (Jazzland) Quote

I doubt that the original LP issue sold many copies, and the reissue CDs probably didn't either - but they should have. 4 hours ago, EKE BBB said: Sonny Rollins & Co. – The Standard Sonny Rollins (RCA Victor, 1964) 2 hours ago, EKE BBB said: Sonny Rollins – What's New? Good move all round, as the chances of owning the original LP barring a lottery win are zippo . 8 hours ago, EKE BBB said: "Change Of Setting" is easily available in several online stores; however, "Just Friends" is out of stock in all of them. Wow, that disappeared fast ! Dutton Vocalion were listing it until quite recently, although they do tend to make stuff OOP pretty fast. Quote
