Mingus at Carnegie Hall,Image result for mingus at carnegie hall deluxe edition

Yes, really exiting with all those musicians, an interesting jam and I remember the 70´s when this came out and I purchased it. For me as a beginner, I was used to the more expanded forms of Mingus like Faubus and Meditations...... that´s how I started to become a big Mingus fan......

I would like some time to start another thread about Mingus, about the period after Adams and Pullen, which for many of our generation was the band we saw live in different places all over the world.

I saw Art Farmer on so many many nights here in Vienna, It was usually Art Farmer, Fritz Pauer, Harry Sokal on tenor, and very fine bassists and drummers (in later years very often Johannes Strasser and Mario Gonzi)

That looks intriguing.  That also doesn't look like PB in the middle of the other two, who is it?

According to the booklet: Audun Strype, Scandinavia's top mastering engineer, accompanying the trio as live sound man. PB took the photo.

Thanks.  I see it's no longer cheap.  I'm tempted

There aren't any sound samples on the internet. I took a chance when a Japanese seller I was already ordering from had a copy for sale. Audun Strype did a good job on the recording/mastering.

PS It's not a gatefold digipack as the Discogs page states, but a non-gatefold mini-lp (hard cardboard, not laminated) with a booklet (3 pages colour photos, 4 pages Japanese liner notes, 1 page english liner notes).

Thanks again.  I think I can imagine what it might sound like, good.
