Miles Davis "At Carnegie Hall" electronically re-channeled for stereo Columbia LP.

Yeah, fake stereo. Still sounds pretty good as it has for the many years I've had this one. Quite a night! There's another whole Lp's worth that is also great music.

This disc 2 of original compositions is one of my favorite from the Collective's released work.

Strange, you see the cover and think about Miles in the 40´s with Bird or Tadd or his own Birdland Broadcasts around 1950/51
I think the only Musician I have ever heard of here is Robin Eubanks, he´s the trombonist who played with the Messengers, right ?

If you haven't heard of him, I'd recommend Miguel Zenon's leader dates.

Yesterday I listened to this in the car, while I was drivin to the lake for fishing after work. 
 

It was always one of my favourite Chet Baker records, especially for the participation of Karl Ratzer, he is such a great guitarist, my favourite and I had the honour to play with him on several occasions in my youth. 

Baker is in top form, and the drummer Al Levitt is very very fine. 
But I´m not so fond of the flute as an instrument. It would have been enough as a quartet, Chet, Karl, the bass player Ricardo and Al Levitt.....
But don´t misunderstand me: Nicola Stilo is a FANTASCTIC  musician and his solos are great and most interesting , but I just have problems with flutes, especially in the high register. If the same lines would have been played on sax, it would sound great for me.

Sun Ra And His Astro Infinity Arkestra – My Brother The Wind Volume II

It's funny to emerge from a day of listening to Milt Bruckner's well lubricated swing organ, and put on a new Sun Ra record you hadn't previously listened to for some contrast only to be met by more swing organ (well, one side of it, at least).

Yes, he also spent about a decade and a half with Dave Holland. All the cats in this edition of the SFJazz Collective are worth hearing.
