My wife got an impromptu opportunity to have dinner with two of her sisters, so rather than be in the midst of that gabfest I stayed home and am spinning a few discs.

Two are ones that arrived in the mail today, both SACDs from Analogue Productions of Blue Note titles:

Dexter Gordon, "Dexter Calling"

Hank Mobley, "Workout"

And in between a disc I finally found that was drifting around elusively in my shelves that I wanted to spin, Buell Neidlinger "Blue Chopsticks: A Portrait of Herbie Nichols"

Disconcerting that Analogue Productions' Prestige stereo Hybrid SACD release program has ground to a halt. I really want the remaining Eric Dolphy and Booker Ervin titles. If they are cancelled I'll be upset.

Remember seeing Swainson’s group with Fuller but alas no Henderson and Shaw. Not 100% sure on the rest of the group but hazy memory says Pat La Barbera and Don Thompson.

Agree that that is a very nice CD with excellent work by Shaw and Henderson.
