Starting off a cool morning with “Swedish Jazz All Stars” a nice Dragon cd

Swedish Jazz All Stars “Parisorkestern 1949”

Putte Wickman on clarinet, Reinhold Svensson on piano, Carl-Henrik Norin on tenor, and Arne Domnerus on alto sax and on vocals Alice Babs.

I’m spinning Duke Elllington Orchestra “Jazz at the Plaza” (my LP copy bought at the time of release) and I love the sound I’m hearing! This is a very dynamic and open sounding LP.

This is good.

Three of the six pieces, performed by a different (more "classical") ensemble, are in the Hemphill box on New World.

But the interpretations here are worth hearing and not duplications.
