For decades I have wanted to like this one more than I actually do. I like it a little more year by year. This edition sure sounds great.

Cannonball Adderley (with Bill Evans) “Know What I Mean” Analogue Productions SACD

When it comes to Cannonball, I play this the most... "Somethin' Else" probably the second most. I agree that this SACD sounds great. I also know that there are "drier" versions out there, including the regular OJC CD, but to me, the slight amount of reverb gives it a more vintage sound which I think suits the recording just fine.

Interesting. .. I like so many other Cannonballs much better. . . later ones. I think he was an amazing artist and his evolution was fascinating.

Shabaka (Hutchings) “Of the Earth” Shabaka cd

Hutchings wrote, produced, performed, and mixed the entire album entirely on his own.

Shabaka Hutchings back on saxophone! Lots of loops and woodwinds and percussion. I like it.
