EKE BBB, the Classics come at around €11 when they are released. Slightly more later.

I get most of the new releases at about €8 from a couple of shops but supplies are limited.

You lucky Guy! B-)

From iTunes (didn't think initially I would ever use it) the un-issued tracks from Miles' Quintet box; Water On The Pond etc.

Stuck them straight on the iPod in amongst the rest of my 'owned' stuff.

Second hand (and hoping they will be delivered by those German mail bastards):

And that completes the purchases of the German dude for this year. Period.

And don't nobody tempt me again.

You BASTARDS!

Did you pick up any Styx or Night Ranger, Big Al??? ;)

Just placed a CD Universe order for three of the new Conns coming out next Tuesday: Hill, Rivers, and Wilson. Also ordered Henderson's Inner Urge, as that has been on the want list for a long time now.

Bought vinyl from Iceland!

'Fascinating Voyage' by Iceland bass player Arni Egilsson. He plays with a trio of masters: Pete Jolly, Ray Brown and Jimmie Smith. 1985 session made in LA and pressed on pure vinyl by the Reykjavik label Arnaeus.

The album was later issued on CD as 'Basses Loaded' on Cambria.

Plus another vinyl, my first BN in years: the double LP issue of Al Green 'I Can't Stop'! No RVG stamp on the inside vinyl space.

And to remain in an eclectic mood: Peter Brotzmann's 'Nipples' on Atavistik.

Grand total for all three items: €20 ($24)!

The later two were brand-new 'special offers'. Love those offers...

All from Candence:

--- Albert Ayler: Lorrach, Paris 1966

--- Peter Brotzmann: Tales Out Of Time

strange coincidence, this was my order from JazzLoft yesterday.

I also picked up Ayler's Music is the Healing Force... and Fondation Maeght from cduniverse with some Paypal credit I had left over.

Disk Union generally has a few brand new CD's they are selling off cheap and for less than $5.00 I picked up something that looked intriguing even though I have never heard of the singer. The CD is called 'Ballads for Trane' by Joe Lee Wilson on Philology and he is backed by some top Italian musicians.

I only had time for a cursory listen but like what I heard. Anybody familiar with Joe Lee Wilson?

Just placed a pre-order for that McKusick 'Cross Section Saxes' cd that appeared on H. Tanno's latest list. That one looks sshhhhhweeeet!!! :excited:

It's even much better than sshhhhhweeeet!

A masterpiece! Superb writing, beautiful solos. One of the most underrated jazz album ever.

You'll LOVE this!
