Clunky Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 rather nervously put a toe into ebay and got John Williams Trio, EmArcy 10" Australian pressing !!( supposedly in excellent condition) all for $9 ( double that with postage) ← Ok, so this 10" just arrived, musically very interesting shades of energetic Bud Powell but he's also got something of the same approach that makes Eddie Costa standout. Vinyl seems in good condition ( no marks at all) however there's plenty of surface noise and the speed of the disc sounds defective ( either that or the piano was out of tune). It remains quite listenable. Anyone else know if the speed wobble I'm hearing is heard, on other pressings of this neat session ?? Quote
