papsrus Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Dave Holland Quartet - Extensions That is a fine album. Some discussion here. Thanks for pointing me to this thread, fantastic album indeed! Speaking of which, Holland has been a part of some really great albums, hasn't he? -- "Extensions," "Conference of the Birds," Braxton's "Dortmund," and "Montreux/Berlin," "Circle, Paris Concert," "Bitch's Brew," to name a few. Pretty amazing. He's also on Stanko's "Balladyna," which has been getting some play in these parts recently. Quote
Quincy Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Used copies of Stan Getz's Serenity and Cecil Taylor's Looking Ahead! Sometimes nice things show up when you haven't checked the store in a month! Quote

WorldB3 Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Booker Ervin - That's It Great record, you will love it. The book series gets all the praise as it should but That's It gets over looked. Picked this up earlier in the week: At first I was worried that there was no Nate Smith or Steve Nelson on this but I love Eric Harland and Mulgrew Miller on here. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Only ordered this on Thursday! Many thanks for all the recommendations on my next Hampton thread! MG Quote
