Jim Alfredson
As of today, no... but they are in the hands of my new taxman. I'm hoping he'll save my ass this year.
wesbed
My taxes are still not done. Today is Sunday... taxes are due on Thursday. I still have three more evenings to deal with them. Plenty o' time.
Rooster_Ties
The wife and I finished ours about a week ago (for the record - she did 'em -- she's a lot better with forms than I am). We usually wait until sometime around mid-March, but one year we actually got them done about a week after we got our W2's in the mail (probably the first week in February). Of course, that was back when we could both still file the EZ form (and before we were married), probably around 1998 or so.
scottb
Mine are done and "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!!!" To the tune of nearly $60,000!!!!! I should be hearing from the IRS auditors any day now but my accountant says it's legit. I hope so because I really don't look good in orange. Jim Alfredson
Holy shit. Can I borrow some money?! Or can I come work for you?
RDK
Well, sorta. My wife and I met with our accountant a few weeks ago and everything is done but the signing of the forms. But then on Friday, Sheri receives another 1099 statement from an employer!
RDK
Y'know, SS1, that Lee Morgan cover must be the *most versatile* of all the BN album covers...
vibes
My wife and I wanted our refund ASAP, so I did our taxes in late January, if I remember correctly. We got our state and federal refunds by mid-February. I do our taxes online at H&R Block's website every year because we don't have anything complicated to worry about - we don't own a home, have no investments outside of my 401k, and have minimal charitable contributions. Doing our taxes online doesn't even take me 30 minutes.
Alexander
We did ours back in January... B)
sheldonm
I did ours at the end of January and have already received my small refund. We like to keep the refunds to a minimum and have the extra money on each pay check. No sense in giving the government an interest loan every year! Dan Gould
Considering the refund we're getting, we should have done ours back in January. But with electronic filing, we'll probably have it just in time for the second mortgage payment (only 358 to go then!)
A Lark Ascending
What happened to the days when you people got really pro-active about taxmen and started dressing up as indians and throwing things in harbours?
AfricaBrass
What happened to the days when you people got really pro-active about taxmen and started dressing up as indians and throwing things in harbours? Dan Gould
What happened to the days when you people got really pro-active about taxmen and started dressing up as indians and throwing things in harbours? Since we now have taxation with representation, we are not moved to do this anymore. Also, I don't like tea.
jack
Finished them last month. Will mail it in at the last minute.

Soulstation1
we should all throw our mosaics in the pacific ocean as a protest. please remove your weed from the hidden tray ss1 Edited April 12, 2004 by Soulstation1
danasgoodstuff
Got mine done about 2 days ago. I guess I should thank W that the basic deduction for married filing jointly is now enuff ($9,500) that I don't have to itemize (what with a 'modest home' and a variable rate mortgage). I would've come out about the same, but it so much easier to just take the basic, and they can't argue...Of course, the state and local are a 'nother matter. scottb
Wouldn't want to pollute the Pacific, why not just pile them up on the doorstep of 3427 Jasper Lane.

connoisseur series500
Got mine done close to a month ago. I pay my kid's school fees from my refunds, so I try to get them done as quickly as possible.
