One of the last great movie actors! 
If you have the chance watch him as "Boss Spearman" in Kevin Costner´s exellent late Western "Open Range"  (2003).

When Hackman died I intended to finally open up the DVD I had purchased at a Walmart for $5 to finally watch The Conversation.

Realizing that Duvall was in it also makes me want to finally follow thru all the more.

Duvall's character in the first Reacher movie was probably the only saving grace in that movie.
