Disc 2: I bought Discs 2 and 3 for $15 a few years ago.  Although I enjoy the discs, it's tough for me to justify paying a premium price to buy the full Mosaic when I own half.  I may seek out the bulk of the rest of the material via the Delmark and RCA releases at some point.

@BillF : I also purchased this once. It seems to be a previously unreleased BN session. I remember the nice first tune, something with a title like "Funny Pilgrim Farm" or something like that. And it seems to be the last time Paul Chambers was in the Studio. Somehow he doesn´t Sound as fine as he sounded years before. But I think I like other Morgan Albums from that period more: Cornbread and The Rump-Roller.

A favorite of mine. Recorded in 1966 but not released until 1985. Marc Myers wrote an article on it. Jazz Wax - The Rajah

Inspired by my recent revisitation of the Jimmie Lunceford Mosaic:

Dino Saluzzi/Anthony Cox/David Friedman - Rios: This is far better than AllMusic's lukewarm review.

I got this for one track - the solo piano version of Tenderly recorded for MGM. But the sound of most tracks is rather muffled, the remasterings of other tracks I already have is audibly better on other CDs.

Yesterday DHL dropped off a box I have been waiting for, over 20 of this month's releases from Blue Note Japan of their 80th Anniversary cd reissues.

I really like this series, I think they sound good and with a few tweaks to the system they really shine. Yesterday and today so far I've listened to:

Grachan Moncur III "Evolution"
Lou Donaldson "Sunny Side UP"
Stanley Turrentine "Live at Minton's Vol. 1"
Cliff Jordan "Cliff Craft"
"John Jenkins / Kenny Burrell"

I'm going to have a lot of the earlier US reissues to sell. Which will help pay for these!

Last one today, it's too hot upstairs. Big John Patton, "Got A Good Thing Goin'" 80th Anniversary reissue cd from Blue Note Japan.

I like the alternate cover too. ;)
