  2. Beethoven - Op.59/2 and Op.135 - Busch Quartet
  3. Today
  4. Kenny Dorham “The Complete 'Round About Midnight At The Cafe Bohemia” 2 SACD set from Blue Note Japan SACD 1 Great sound, as expected.
  5. Totally agree. He was/is the best conductor of Ives' music that I've ever heard.
  6. R.I.P. His Ives recordings are first class! I also recommend this one, my introduction to two of the composers featured:
  7. No criticism sensed! 😀 But I did think it remiss of me anyway. Incidentally, BGO was the first to reissue some of these British gems. I know that Ian Carr was very pleased to see his entire Vertigo back catalogue reissued and those RCQs too.
  8. Michael Tilson Thomas - R.I.P.
  9. Roger, no intent to be critical. 😊 I meant to say that Neil Ardley is the only name in my "BGO collection" that you hadn't mentioned in the earlier post.
  10. It would not surprise me if there are unissued recordings from the trio as well.
  11. That's an imaginary Mosaic BY an imaginary Mosaic.
  12. My bad, but I also forgot Keith Tippett and John Stevens' Away.
  13. "An Hour for Piano" came out three years before, but, yes,"Nine Bells" is one of the better India Navigations. Also, he almost made it to 2025. I miss his writings tho. They were fun - especially if you were young and impressionable.
  14. yeah, somebody should do one. No idea who owns the rights to Morgue but the ALM/Kojima material seems to be getting licensed around. Columbia/Denon I'm not sure about, but they presumably still own those masters. Excellent group of LPs.
  15. This would make a nice set. All of these records are going for 300+ euros.... Time for a reissue. Stalks – Steve Lacy Trio (Tokyo, June 7, 1975) Solo at Mandara – Solo performance (Tokyo, June 8, 1975) Distant Voices – Steve Lacy, Yuji Takahashi, Takehisa Kosugi (Tokyo, June 24, 1975) Torments: Solo in Kyoto – Solo (Kyoto, July 6, 1975) The Wire – Sextet recording (Tokyo, June 18, 1975)
  16. man I wish there was more of this from this period….
