What Classical Music Are You Listening To?

Disc 2 - works by Schumann & Beethoven -
Thanks Ollie, great CD. I bought it after hearing some impressive extracts during your interview last Thursday on Resonance FM (Ben Thompson’s London Ear, a consistently excellent programme). Rachel Musson is amazing on it, as you say! Recommended. Anthony London

Miles Davis “The Complete Live in Paris Volume 1 and 2” Lost Recordings UHQCD 2 cd set, disc 1 Recorded at the Olympia Theatre Paris, 11 October, 1960–Davis, Stitt, Kelly, Chambers and Cobb. I broke down and ordered this, and it arrived today. Not that much of this are really “lost recordings” but none-the-less a great packaging of killer music. 960×960 77.2 KB Certainly sounds great. Better than previous versions. 960×960 70.1 KB

I used to be a big customer and receive their weekly e-mails. Last week I placed my first order in four years. [No longer buy as much classical.] Today I got the following email. Kind of sad, like the end of an era. A Note from Berkshire Record Outlet Dear fellow music-lovers, The time has come to announce our closure within the next sixty days. In the interim, we have a backlog of new and restocked titles that we plan to offer you via our usual updates, in preparation for the subsequent sale of the entire inventory to a consortium of wholesalers. With one exception, we’re all well past retirement age, and the challenges of running a niche business in the year 2025 are more than this near octogenarian is willing to confront. In short, after fifty-one years, we bid you farewell. Thank you all for your patronage. Best wishes, Joe Eckstein

No software, I just complied it. I will have to check it out. -
I said it backwards, sorry. I meant that he probably had MORE respect for real players like Tjader than he would have had for the likes of Fogerty.
