What Classical Music Are You Listening To?

Those are probably his best two.

Now THAT is saying something! For me, it'd probably be Our Thing, but In Japan would certainly be in the running. Any Henderson fan who only knows his Blue Note work needs to hear In Japan.
-
Yes!! That might actually be do-able, as Jonathan Horwich, who used to post here, has worked with Mosaic before. Revelation Records I'd buy it. This one seems do-able too.
-
Really enjoyed listening to this. The only track I recognized is #9, Hannibal's "Soul Brother." Fantastic tune!
-
Amen to the Barron and the Bill Dixon-related Savoy albums. A George Russell set would be cool, too. Though the music straddles 1960, I'd love to see a Jimmy Giuffre Verve set. Anything by Mal Waldron. If there's any unreleased tunes or alternates, an Ahmad Jamal on Impulse would be a nice set.

The Barron wouldn't sell enough outside of our board.

He was my favorite at 17, but I only knew a handful back then and discovered many, many more since.

I have issues with getting some new Blu Rays to work on my player - in fact although I own the Criterion Monk release I’ve never seen it!

Can't think of a reason related to picture/sound quaility, but DVD's can be played in machines blu-ray's, can't, and in some cases, DVD anniversary sets have good extras which did not make it onto later blu-ray anniversary editions (Field of Dreams, It's a Wonderful Life, The Princess Bride being three instances of that. In those cases, I kept both DVD and blue-ray editions).

You are right. My fault-- even though i tend to buy BluRay I still call them DVDs. Is there a reason some people prefer DVDs?

Christmas music is reissued over & over & over again, just like any other music. Just check discogs for how many versions of Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" or Nat King Cole's "A Christmas Song" have been reissued. Even lesser-known titles like Scott Hamilton's "Christmas Love Song" has been reissued as "Late Night Christmas Eve".
