  1. Heard it again yesterday. Interesting.
  2. Hoping for a Rodgers / Mahomes game this year. :-)
  3. My copy has an orange "stereo" sticker on a mono jacket.
  4. Some of us swim in different seas. My favorite '70s issues - Von Freeman - Have No Fear and Serenade & Blues Warne Marsh - All Music Roscoe Mitchell - Nonaah Ira Sullivan - Circumstantial Air - Air Time Roscoe Mitchell - L-R-G / The Maze / S II Examples Charles Tyler - Saga of the Outlaws Bobby Bradford w/ John Stevens Spontaneous Ensemble Wadada Leo Smith - Spirit Catcher YMMV Oh, I forgot the Art Ensemble of Chicago's issues of People in Sorrow and Les Stances a Sophie.
  5. Haven't read it but "hits" are never a problem.
  6. Coda magazine October/November 1966 contained this report from Chicago by this stringer.
  7. I believe the domestic "infringer" is the importer - unfortunately the US law has no teeth and victims are left to pursue civil litigation against all the perps. Not a workable situation for the transgressed.
  8. Haven't played this in a while. Amazing.
  9. Be well. This reminds me of Buck HIll - musician and mail carrier in the DC area. His wife encouraged me to join her in advising Buck to retire. She feared his back would be damaged carrying the bag.
  10. Recently got rid of a bunch of Gramophones (classical variety) and remember a jazz review column in the '70s.
  11. Undoubtedly mac and cheese, mystery meat, green beans and Wonderbread with peanutbutter. Maybe applesauce on the side.
  12. Watched the perfect game in the lunchroom of the public school (k - 12) In Randall, Iowa.
  13. See my post above where I mention the 3 editions.
  14. That is correct.
  15. I knew Milton in Chicago. Fine musician and nice guy. I forgot he is gone. That is contained in this Sony CD set: and that set includes the instrument demonstrations from the Delusion of the Fury lp box. Delusion of the Fury can be heard without the clicks and pops on this cd - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000035X6C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  16. Worked 2 times (by remote communication) with Jack. I spoke on the phone with him while building an all star group for the Chicago Jazz Festival. This was to be a West Coast Group built around Art Pepper. It was to be a quintet and I lined up Art, Jack, Russ Freeman and Shelly Manne. I suggested Monty Budwig but Art objected and wanted Bob Magnusson. Anyway I spoke to all but Magnusson and they agreed. Unfortunately Art Pepper died before the event. The second time was when I edited and assembled Jack's Uptown date. He could be a charmer. Think I'll listen to one of the Curtis Counce dates now.
  17. Sad to hear but he had a highly productive life. Go in peace.
  18. I tried that today and received a message saying they couldn't ship to my address.
  19. Haven't listened to this in a few years.
  20. This "bleeding chunk" might do the trick for you. I like it a bunch. Reasonably priced, used on Amazon.
