  1. Glad I caught up with him on his last couple of tours.
  2. Wall Street Journal review: http://www.wsj.com/articles/review-of-jack-dejohnettes-made-in-chicago-1426112890?KEYWORDS=muhal
  3. As are the original programs, but I no longer have the originals.
  4. I can never tell if you're joking, but I don't think there's any beating up going on here. Forgive me. I was distressed by the list of current discussions when I clicked on "View New Content". Go there now and see how many discussion topics advance the appreciation of music. The ratio is depressing to me.
  5. That's ok. Beat me up. I'm used to it.
  6. Sadly, this thread is not about music.
  7. I am a fan. There is some live stuff floating around.
  8. In addition to BS&T and Gil, I heard him with George Russell. Quite a career.

  10. We used FaceTime on our iPad before we had iPhones.
  11. that was available in post 1
  12. I seem to recall it being particularly prominent during one portion of TONE PARALLEL TO HARLEM. Glad someone mentioned Bennie Maupin. He's great on BITCHES BREW, and also on THE JEWEL IN THE LOTUS. In "live" situations Harry Carney played bass clarinet in a number of compositions.
  13. The Paris Coltrane material is my fave, but all are worthy.
  14. good questions.
  15. Good for marketing the LSO. Musically, I care not.
  16. Folks seem to forget a reissue predating the Mosaic by about a year: and some seem to forget he is a living, performing artist: Lots of other interesting things on Amazon and elsewhere. I can provide a list.
  17. That's true with iOS, but I've seen no evidence of that with OS X. With an upgrade a couple of years ago I lost the ability to use my Nikon slide/negative scanner and "The Complete New Yorker" dvd set. I found a third party developer with software to run the scanner but the New Yorker set remains a large paperweight. You can't use the Mac's Image Capture app with the Nikon? It works fine with my decade-old Epson scanner. No.

  19. I gave up on Windows a few years back but keep one PC going because my music collection is on it. Since they stopped supporting my current OS, the hackers are killing me. Time to recycle that Dell and be done. Ann had a Windows 8.? machine and it is complete crap.
  20. Do you ever come back to Michigan? Beers await.
