  1. Two things I find difficult to understand; guys (really?) and it is left for me to post the obvious:
  2. He is a master of the pedals.
  3. A new interview with ME!! http://peaceandrhythm.blogspot.com/2014/05/peace-rhythms-interview-with-chuck.html
  4. My experience as well. The old single blade design made me bleed almost every time. In those days everyone had a styptic pencil in their shaving kit. I welcome the "expense".
  5. I would guess the Bowie is "dime sourced".
  6. Listening to my first pressing (heavy, stereo, promo) of Horace's Jody Grind. I noticed the 3rd track is "counted off" and need to check the BN cd (a needle drop) to see if it is edited out.
  7. I am still relegated to reading ingredients on cans. I hope things improve.
  8. At some point I have respect for myself as a typist but do not compare my experiences and/or ideas with Hemingway or Faulkner. Nor do I really understand all they did. And so it goes... The whole "I play the instrument" thing only goes so far with me.
  9. Sorry to hear this. I had some contact with him back when I issued one of Lucky's records. Initially met him at the Jazz Record Mart. He seemed to be as nice as his father.
  10. Yardbird Parker Moe Green Bagger Vance
  11. Babe Ruth Baby Ruth Ruth Buzzi
  12. Sixpac Tugo Jack Six Sixten Ehrling
  13. Bought this Crown lp in high school. Freshman year of college it was stolen. Later that year a chance encounter with Conte Candoli resulted in a new copy. A few years ago I sold the bulk of my lps to finance cd reissues of my catalog. On a return "back home" to pay tribute to my departed mother in law, I visited the local vinyl store/coffee shop and found this for about $6.
  14. Tupper Saussy Topper Roland Young
  15. J C Penney Johnnie Dollar Adbullah Ibrahim
  16. David Eyges with Byard Lancaster
  17. This was originally issued on Interplay. Later they licensed it, along with some other titles, to Albert Marx at Discovery. I believe the owner of Interplay now lives in Japan so this is probably not a needle drop (unless he no longer has the tapes).
  18. Thanks to all. It was a fine day.
