  1. Lester Lashley scared the shit out of me in 1966. Check him out on the early AACM sessions on Delmark. Too bad he didn't stay in the public eye.
  2. He is selling boiling pots to folks wanting to learn something. He is a scam. He can be an amusing scam, but.....
  3. The last 7 were Liberty only issues.
  4. Swell is swell!
  5. Really, really don't want to be dragged into this discussion but the above statement(s) are not fact. I do not plan to return to this thread, so please explain your statement.
  6. "legality" is not "ethics".
  7. Jon, can you clarify - amazon says they have none in stock right now. Do you mean you just sent them some and they should have it in stock soon? Guy Amazon would buy from the distributor. Amazon ran out, reordered from the distributor and awaits shipment.
  8. City Hall says they have it in stock.
  9. Me to, but you already knew that.
  10. It means she paid for the session and owns the rights.
  11. The Merrill discs were "vanity" projects and she controls the masters. I would bet the Mosaic reflects the Landmark issue.
  12. Bu and Max were "behind the curve" at the time and it took them a minute to adjust and move on.
  13. U might have missed my point. No matter.
  14. Buck Hill Tom Buck Rooster Cogburn
  15. Kenton, hair, Sheldon, Sodomy. Sounds like a David Axelrod production. :-)
  16. Moms is my guide here. I agree with his post.
  17. We do have folks with money to make themselves look informed.
  18. Folks with way too much money try to find audio components better than their daddies. My best system is about 40 years old.
  19. Only one I can find
  20. Absolutely not Sir Charles - doesn't look like him at all. The more I think about it the more I think it is Lovett.
  21. I bet it's Leroy Lovett.
  22. Back in the '70s Gunter Christmann had a terrific record of solos on trombone and bass. It was on Ring/Moers.
  23. My first thought was Jimmy Jones, but I don't think the face is "fat" enough.
