  1. Time to spend money if you want real info.
  2. Nomatter what anyone says, Cellphone Jammers is the best new band today!
  3. The bad ECM pressings were the early US Polydors.
  4. On the other hand, so many seem to be making money off these poor folk.... Maybe that is sustaining the economy. Time to read the old communist books again.
  5. We would all do so much better without the poor.
  6. No mention of James P, Thomas Waller or others providing sounds for the silents? I can imagine wonderful stuff beyond Oingo Boingo.
  7. I'd feel more comfortable with "favorite decade" and have arguments with that!
  8. After a messy introduction HVK informs the orchestra the work is not the Brahms.
  9. Hilly Kristal The Fighting Seabees G. B. Shaw Gene Shaw Clarence Shaw Clarence Williams
  10. I don't think "Legacy" has any employees right now. Certainly not any involved in jazz.
  11. Still, single Okka and Eremite discs are around $20 - not expensive at all! Where the heck are you buying 'em? Or are you getting them for free? Okka and I sell their discs for $13 and a check of the Eremite site seems they are well below $20.
  12. Still, single Okka and Eremite discs are around $20 - not expensive at all! But beyond the limits stated in the initial post.
  13. "...your lame showing"? And you quiz me over spelling? M'kay. I can die now, I've seen everything. Best wishes in the next world.
  14. Come back when you can spell the states correctly. Thought your lame showing in the baseball thread might have taught you something.
  15. If I'd known the BD was so close I'd have drug/dragged him to a bar the last time we met.
  16. I love the way the Bears are holding back for the big finish.
  17. Doesn't anyone consider the difference between Blue Note, Sony, etc and the guys like Ermite, Okka and the rest? Your money might make a difference.
  18. Our daughter leased a Chevy Cobalt sport coupe when they came out - in Detroit, family price at the time. The silver inlay around the window buttons, on the door are friggin' painted. Nails scratch the paint down to the black plastic. When she leaves the car out in the rain she has a pool of water in the back seat. The dealer can't duplicate the event so there is no remedy. Her previous cars were a Subaru and a Honda. I don't think the US companies can do anything to lure her back.
  19. David Finckel (cellist, Emerson Qt) is son of Ed Finckel (pianist, arranger with Boyd Raeburn, etc).
  20. Too complicated. Burn 'em and sprinkle 'em in the yard.
  21. Not really wild, just weird.
