  1. The edits you mention are responsible for my post. I think all this hiding behind screen names is horseshit. If you have opinions, act like you have balls and defend them.
  2. Jean Simmons Simon Bolivar John Simon
  3. You have a thick fat ass? Never knew that.
  4. After 3 messages, this thread has most/all posts deleted and edited. What a pile of shit. I really don't understand some folks unwilling to stand up and defend their posts and/or positions.
  5. Swinging' With Pee Wee on Prestige contains 2 lps - Swingin' With Pee Wee and Portrait of Pee Wee. The first is a quintet (1960) with Buck Clayton and Tommy Flanagan. The other date (1958) includes Ruby Braff, Bud Freeman and Vic Dickenson. The disc times 77'31". Another good one is "Jazz Reunion" on Candid (1961). This one has Coleman Hawkins, Bob Brookmeyer, Emmett Berry, Nat Pierce, Milt Hinton and Jo Jones.
  6. They are distributed in North America by Allegro. The Allegro site says it's to be released on October 9.
  7. Marshall Allen is one.
  8. I loved Fargo and (for Christmas) my kids bought a "collectors edition" of the tapes - complete with a snow globe with Marge looking at a body in the snow.
  9. This reminds me of the classic Mary Tyler Moore show when Chuckles the Clown died.
  10. Gee, I've heard of that piece. Wish I had the "original".
  11. Might this be the first "collaboration" with two "dead" participants?
  12. Extorting quarters from the tooth fairy.
  13. Guess they didn't talk to our daughter. Her Chevy roof leaks and drops water in the back seat. It's her first GM machine and she won't get another. Edit to say the silverish plastic (on the armrests, surrounding the window controls) are really black plastic with silver paint. Fingernails, searching for the controls, scrape the paint off.
  14. Dan is one cruel mf.
  15. Johnny Hodges Blue Hodge and Mess of Blues - both with Wild Bill Davis. The Rabbit/WBD stuff would be a fine Mosaic Select.
  16. Unfortunately, yes - Smilin' Ed McConnell. Plunk your magic twanger Froggie.
  17. Buster Brown Froggie the Gremlin Midnight the Cat anyone else old enough to remember this?
  18. To understand the results of the Concord takeover, go to Amazon and type "OJC" in the music search. Anything not available from "Amazon", but available from "others" has been deleted. Some few titles are still available from the Concord site but these are just minimal leftovers. The OJC search only covers those - many more titles on Prestige, Riverside, Contemporary, etc are gone too. Hundreds of titles. I originally posted about this eventuality in this thread on Dec. 1, 2004 http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...c=15173&hl= . FWIW I got 3 more in the mail today. God bless Saul Zaentz and Ralph Kaffel.
  19. Ann and I have "field box" tickets (first row, third base line) on the 30th.
  20. Dick Van Patten George C Scott Scott Van Pelt
