  1. It has been years since I grabbed it off the shelf but I recall the LP being quite a bit of fun. The memories that stand out involve the sounds that Jackson was able find.
  2. ....it was Bronson! Until someone posted the picture I forgot that it was the pitcher not the first baseman.
  3. A couple for Brother Ray as well, right? I'd forgotten, but you're right. "You are my sunshine" I think was one of them. Was "Don't set me free" another? MG I am not a 100% on but I can dig through my records when I get a chance to check.
  4. I guess I am not too surprised that A-Rod did something like this after seeing him smack the ball out of a Red Sox first baseman's hand (Dan, was it Dougie?) to try and score some runs in the 2004 playoff series. My reaction to that move and this one are more in the realm of how pathetic people become when they are desperate to win. On to another sad state of affairs, how about my Twins winning on Wednesday when the White Sox pitched Torii Hunter 4 straight balls with bases loaded. A walk off walk!

  6. Thank you for the information. My order from them just arrived but was missing the Beethoven: Symphony no 9 conducted by Furtwangler at the Bayreuth Festival, so I was a little nervous that they forgot to send it.
  7. It might be because Tony ordered the hit on Patsy's brother and he has always wanted more for his daughter. This relationship sucks Meadow into the Mob world forever, on some level. Tony certainly did not want that when he kept trying to keep the Aprile boy away from the Mob when he was dating Meadow. Yes and no. The main difference though is that Patsy's son is in med school and is in no way mixed up in the business, so he's stands a better chance of gaining Tony's approval and giving a different life to Meadow. In what episodes did we learn about Patsy's son? I just don't remember it. I thought they said he was studying to become a lawyer.

  9. I have tried to follow which releases were in the series, but also seem to have a problem finding a definitive list, so thank you for the link. So far I only have the Reiner Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra/Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta/Hungarian Sketches & Also sprach Zarathustra/Ein Heldenleben, but this list has pointed me in the direction of a few more titles.
  10. The list reminds me of a rant a local DJ had with me once. The total of the conversation was that once you become too rich your musical taste dies off. His concrete evidence was that you never hear great music blasting out of yachts.
  11. Elvis Costello & The Imposters at the Myth, in Maplewood MN.
  12. I had the impression that was the he was going to give the overseas money to Vito's family, but lost it on a game, therefore suggesting the camp.
  13. That was my take as well, but I think the gambling storyline came out of leftfield because since the first season Tony has mocked gamblers as "degenerates." Maybe it is being used to show how much the shooting has changed him. Does anyone get the impression that he was able to pay off Hesch because Carmella loaned him the money?
  14. They do say on their website that there are two or three months to go with Running Low. The time to panic will be in July or August, or when it moves to Last Chance, if sooner. If I remember correctly some sets sold out/went out of print within a few weeks... ...and I would think the Max would be one of them because I have heard many board members say it would be the set they were going to pick up when it started "Running Low."
  15. They print each set in batches, so they might have printed 2,000 of them and decided it was better to let it "time out" then to print another batch.
  16. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photographs! I hope you have a great birthday and year.
