  1. You are right. I am 7 tracks into the fourth disc and this is some really great music. No regrets here.
  2. Gerry Mulligan The Complete Verve Gerry Mulligan Concert Band Sessions Discs 3 & 4 Does anyone else have a weird glitch on the first track of disc three?
  3. Include HolyStitt in that group as well. The worst for me was a seller that sent me the Tina Brooks Mosaic in a padded envelope and with a scratch so deep a track that one of the sides skipped.
  4. Charles Lloyd -Of Course, Of Course
  5. I have been following some of the seller's auctions as well. At first I wondered if there was shill bidding involved, but now I lean toward it being because of repeat customers. I know from experience that there are not many sellers on ebay that acurately describe their auctions, so when you find one that does, you stay with them. In the past know many of my auctions have gone much higher because I have a base that keeps coming back.
  6. Gerry Mulligan The Complete Verve Gerry Mulligan Concert Band Sessions Discs 1 & 2
  7. I had been on the fence on buying the Mulligan CJB set for quite a while, but bought it in late September as a birthday present for myself when it moved to "Running Low." Today, I finally started listening to the musc. WOW! I have only played the first disc so far, but I really enjoy this music.
  8. Randy Weston Mosaic Select Disc 3
  9. Very sad news.
  10. Don Pullen Mosaic Select Disc 2
  11. Did anyone catch how high the Gil Evans Priestess CD went for on ebay yesterday?
  12. Soulstation1, Thanks for the heads up; I now know what to buy my brother for his birthday.
  13. I keep thinking I should. The cat has saved me quite a bit of time.
  14. Nope, just the facts, jack. Instead of having me take time off from work to go to the post office to pick up the packages he couldn't leave in the mailbox, he leaves them on the back steps. The other USPS carrier I had would not do this.
  15. Just a disclaimer: Other then the SNAFU listed above, I have always been very happy with their service and wouldn't think of using any other service. Also, I have the greatest mail carrier ever, who is nice enough to put my packages on my back steps for me.
  16. Since I work at the post office, but not behind the counter(City Carrier), why were the cd's returned in the first place? Insufficient postage? Just curious. I never was able to get a straight answer from the branch about why it was happening. I would send the packages out, with all the postage weighed and placed on the packages by the clerk. I would leave the branch thinking everything was cool and then a couple of days later I would come home to find a few of the packages on my back steps. I would bring those packages back, talk to the branch manager, and then everything would be OK. Maybe I pissed off one of the clerks at that branch because I have NEVER had the problem at any other branch and it only seemed to happen around Christmas.
  17. I own all of Robyn's stuff except for the new CD. It's too bad he is not coming back to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for this release.
  18. I had the same reaction, but I had a great time seeing him perform some of these tunes last week and decided I couldn't wait. I should have picked one up at the show.
  19. After seeing Sonny perform on Halloween, I decided to break down and order the CD.
  20. I am going to have to spin it a more few times, but at first listen I was also disappointed because I was expecting something similar to "Discovery." I haven't heard "Discovery" in quite sometime, but I recall it being pretty damn good. I wonder why they didn't start with it first.
  21. I would vote for the Stooges.
  22. I spoke to him after the show and he is a very nice cat. He seemed to really push Rollins to great places that night.
