  1. ELLINGTON MOSAIC DEAL ALERT Reprise Studio Recordings (European edition): $43.34 including delivery to the US, brand new from Amazon UK Marketplace seller cultureprix: http://www.amazon.co...8&condition=new
  2. I don't see it. Was it a used set? Brand New from Newbury Comics. Now $29.99--still a terrific deal.
  3. Good timing! I just happen to have 3 Moeran discs in the listening queue (after a couple of others, first).
  4. I got in on that deal, even ordered the next day shipping option because the whole thing was so cheap. Jeeeeez, why don't you frickin' rub our faces in it? I'll divert the Dylan box to your address if you send me 2 Wolf Biermann cds of your choice! You know very well that I have only ONE, you sadist!

  6. So how will those of us with affected discs know when the new one is available? Another act of God? Or perhaps an act of Sangrey?
  7. The Philly crew! Golson, Morgan, Timmons, and Merritt. Plus that guy from Pittsburgh.
  8. Here's the CD side--some of the smaller OOP sets seem to be doing pretty well: http://completed.sho...d=p3286.c0.m282 But definitely not as hot as the LP market.
  9. Allen Lowe-worship is the opiate of the masses (and many iPods).
  10. In that case, it's mighty tempting.
  11. Does the price include the salt?
  12. ^ Not to mention the 2-3 years that immediately followed the period covered by this box.
  13. I wish.. Me too. And so does Zoe. Maybe we can work on a trip in the future to Philly to play Chris's and FTMO in New Hope when Jim has down time with Janiva.
  14. I wish.. Me too. And so does Zoe.
  15. "Art Pepper: The Art History Project" (Widow's Taste)
  16. What??? No Chris' in Philly???
  17. Thanks for posting that!
  18. That would be copyright infringement and I don't think Mosaic or the authors of the booklets would be happy with that. Er - You didn't think I was being serious I hope? Not really, no; just thought I'd mention it More importantly, the guy in the car in front of you won't be happy when you slam into his rear end because you're too busy reading a Mosaic booklet on your dashboard satnav to notice that he just put on the brakes.
  19. Unfortunately, Peter, it does appear to be dead in terms of new releases. By the way, in case you haven't seen it, here's an interesting thread on this series on the Hoffman forum, started by the man himself (I haven't read the whole thread--just quickly skimmed it): http://www.stevehoff...ad.php?t=200306
  20. Agreed. Classical Music Superstore is actually Naxos of America, and is the US distributor of the labels it sells through Amazon Marketplace (Chandos, CPO, etc., in addition to Naxos, of course). Its prices are usually the lowest, and customer service is always top-notch. Fantastic source for the labels it sells, especially classical.
  21. I've made many great purchases from blowitoutahere, both through Amazon and directly through their own web site. Based on my fairly extensive experience with all 4, I'd put blowitoutahere at or near the top along with Newbury Comics, and then importcds and MovieMars slightly below (but still fairly reliable). Incidentally, I always compare the Amazon Marketplace shipped prices of these sellers with the shipped prices on their own web sites, and often find that an item is cheaper on their web sites. And again, in my experience, customer service is the same either way.
  22. My older club records always sounded pretty good to me:
  23. So now it's just Scott, Fred, and Michael?
  24. ADHD.
  25. I can't quite figure out why they've repackaged this into 2, 2-disk sets. Did the 4 CD box not sell? The 4-CD set was a limited edition from Hip-O Select. These 2-disc sets are apparently repackaged by Universal for the masses, without the fancy hard-back book.
