  6. Yeah, that's the one! I probably got the first name wrong Bertrand, but it was really funny the way she said it. This was many years ago.
  7. New York makes me dizzy
  8. The picture doesn't show up, but I'll use my inward imagination. OK, I see it now and dats da ugliest asparagus i've ever seen! (of course, I'm not sure if there's really attractive asparagus...)
  9. Not really wanting to get rid of mine but, there's a Fluxus Forum that I've been a member of for many years now (back when Dick Higgins was alive). If you want more info, contact me offline. I'm putting together a limited edition CD comp (50 copies - each with different artwork) of recordings by the members of this forum. Subject matter, etc can be discussed offline. Rod
  10. Funny to hear about this. The only time I saw her first sitcom, "These Friends of Mine," a subplot consisted of her being nervous about an upcoming date (with a man). When they met, they were planning on going out to dinner and also to see Herbie. She nervously referred to him as "Handy Herbcock." Not sure why I remember this, but it seemed that her first show had some promise. One of the regular characters was named Joe Farrell
  11. Check this out! (and the groovy music!) I WANT ONE! I/O Brush

  15. Oh, man - those Italian ones! Damn! Real buggers those are - very pretty to look at before, but nearly impossible to get a clean removal. Also, on that "rapid yank" idea - DON'T DO THIS ON LPS! The LP coating will come off and you'll have a mark there. Lighter fluid...and let it sit for 15 seconds to let it soak thru to the gum on the other side of the sticker and it just slides off. You don't even have to lift the sticker. No damage left after it evaporates (about 5 minutes). Also great on the Italian slime! No smell after a few minutes too.
  16. “In a packed program tonight we will be talking to an out-of-work contortionist who says he can no longer make ends meet.”
  17. "The toilets at a local police station have been stolen. Police say they have nothing to go on." "goodnight from me" '...and it's goodnight from him"
  18. aaaaaaaawwww, man! I'm gonna miss ol' Arkwright. I checked the news and was surprised to hear that Ronnie Corbett (who's leading a tribute) was still alive. I thought he'd died many years ago. "Granville, fetch yer cloth!"
  19. Like that yellow label informing you what a classic recording it is. You have to peel it off from the corner REALLY SLOW or it comes apart. Sometimes they put it on the outside, on the shrink wrap, which makes life much easier. Yup, same prob here and lighter fluid (or GOO-GONE) can take that right off. (I kinda prefer the lighter fluid way, because the tip has a very small hole and you can easily regulate how much fluid comes out by slightly opening the top - just a drop for a little sticker or a whole bunch for a swath of stickiness if needed).
  20. There's nothing on the immediate horizon for NY, but these things change very quickly. I'll let you know if you want me to.
  21. Ha! Thanks! Well, something has to be said I guess. No mention of instrumental teachers, but it really isn't needed in this case. It seems to capture the ephemeral parts of my work I suppose... -_-
  22. Saturday night was Rajan & Sajan Mishra Sunday night was Brij Narayan & Abhijit Banerjee No pictures or audio recordings this time. Yup, he has his peculiarities, but he's amazing overall. Quite the genius! R~
  23. Thanks for the congrats! The work was created for this summer's Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. I have a description on a website of a fellow composer in Frankfurt who seems to have been taken by the work as well (he wants to incorporate some of it in a sound installation). "...Sawagashii"
