Probably one of Sony/BMG's engineers, like Mark Wilder (whose work I don't like very much) or Dennis Ferrante, or maybe Kurt Lundvall or Ted Kendall. Wilder remastered most of the Miles Davis Columbia sets, and older stuff like the Columbia Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and Charlie Christian sets. Ferrante did the mastering on the big RCA Ellington Centennial box. Lundvall did the Mosaic Variety/Vocalion/OKeh Ellington small-group set, Kendall the Mosaic Columbia/Victor Chu Berry set. Steven Lasker was also involved in both Ellington sets.

I'm still looking for this Masters of Jazz CD: Billie Holiday, Vol.11

The PE MO is strip it down, and sell at a profit within five years (this is largely a function of how their funds work). I expect to see all low ROE segments of EMI shuttered over the next year. I could be pleasantly surprised, but if I were betting that's where I would lay my chips. Translation please: "PE" "MO" (modus operandi?) "ROE" There are non-native English speakers here... Thank you.

If I'm not mistaken a small white rectangle - or whatever it's called in English - appears in the icon in the first column on the "View New Posts" page when you've posted to a thread.

I've only listened to the Mosaic once, so I'm hardly qualified to post an opinion, but I'd rate it far below the Blue Note albums Hutcherson put out in the 1960s. My first impression was that it's not bad, but not great either.

By the way, what's this thread doing in the "Album of the Week" Forum?
