    I have all 6 volumes and they're a document. Snag: I don't like the sound very much, it's too loud to my taste, it sounds maximized. To be honest I prefer the first Hitsville U.S.A. box. The sound is much easier on the ears, and it's full of Motown hits. The way to go if you don't need all their singles.

    I have Igor Stravinsky's own interpretation with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra, Igor Markevich with the Philharmonia Orchestra London, Claudio Abbado with the London Symphony Orchestra, Pierre Boulez with the Cleveland Orchestra, and Bernard Haitink with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. I think I also have Ferenc Fricsay somewhere. Fascinating music I keep returning to.

    Yes - only on the Universal edition do you get Tal's 'Concert Band'.

    "Farlow Concert Band"? Aren't you confusing two sets, the Farlow and the Mulligan Concert Band? I don't know if this was just on the Universal Mosaics or not but the spine on the box was mis-printed with, "TheComplete Verve Tal Farlow Concert Band Sessions." Definitely a misprint, there was no such thing as a "Tal Farlow Concert Band".

    Don't let that Parlan set get away from you, it's excellent! Probably one of my favorites. Get both the Farlow and the Parlan, you won't regret it!

    My favorite of those three is the Farlow. I like the Johnny Smith too, but the Farlow outclasses it in my view. I don't care for the Pass.
