  1. We have a tumbler. In my experience, ad event volume of rich compost will take more than one season. Just continue to aerate it. You will have something to work with, it may not be as Much as you hope. Do you make compost tea? If not, consider devising a way to collect the liquid that finds its way to the bottom of your compost pile. Nice addition to watering your plants at every stage of growth.
  2. I discovered my love for Clark and Sahm through ma clem's passionate professions here over the years. Thanks to everyone else who has been so very confirming. To contradict, I have also found enjoyment in the music of Gram.
  3. My trusty meteorologist of choice wxrisk.com, a man who abhors the hyperbolic nature with which weather is forecast in this day and age, has this storm at a solid two to three feet. In fact, he has taken to calling Al Roker, NBC, and TWC irresponsible for their confident 7-9 inches after multiple forecast changes on the day of the storm. He is rarely wrong. The reason, it seems, is that meteorology is based on science.
  4. Has The Wire been released widescreen yet? I read that it was being remastered. Looking forward to seeing it again.
  5. As someone who drives around with a bag of salted in-shell peanuts in his truck much of the time, I can say without a shadow of a doubt "I don't know."
  6. I think it is that quieter instruments are amplifying (double bass) in order to balance dynamically with louder instruments (drum kit), rather than musicians playing quieter on louder instruments (electric guitar) in order to balance dynamically with quieter instruments (tenor saxophone). obviously, there will be examples where this is not the case, but it is the norm.
  7. Stovetop. I usually heat olive oil, butter, and coconut oil. Toss a few kernels in. Close the lid. Pop! Pop! Toss in the rest. Close the lid. Shake across burner until popping slows to a stop. Salt. Close lid. Shake. Serve. I grew up with microwave popcorn, and I have no idea why. Strange phenomenon.
  8. No grits fans in here? I usually fry a couple of eggs over easy, or throw an omelette together with whatever is on hand while making silver dollar/mickey mouse pancakes for the kids on Saturdays or Sundays. If we have bacon in the crisper, I'll go all out and dice or shred a couple of potatoes and make hash browns. Typically though, Earl Grey. Thanks for the coffee technique Larry. I'll give it a shot this weekend. Lots of great roasters to choose from here in Richmond these days. Now if only I could find a decent fucking bagel. Nothing for miles, but Einstein Bros. It'll do in a pinch, but it ain't a bagel.
  9. Thanks for all of the write-ups. It looks like an incredible event.
  10. The cymbals are a dead giveaway. XM satellite radio seems to suffer the same inferiority.
  11. Kind of amazing that this is the first mention here at org. It was all over FB for a few weeks following the book's release.
  12. I can imagine Charlie Hunter Pound For Pound tracks fading out, but it has been so long that I listened to that album, I have no idea.
  13. When it's good, it's good. The rest of the time, it's tedious. The show has settled into three episode chapters with very little progress. I was relieved when they ended the Terminus chapter so abruptly in comparison to the Governor chapter, though even it had a brief return from the dead. Who will the next bad guy be?
  14. SPOILER? In reference to the TV series, I sure wish the writers would give us a more macro- view of the world. As soon as it seems that we are going to broaden the scope of the storyline, they find a way to draw it all back in to a very, very, very micro- level. It felt for a minute that we were going to at least have multiple plotlines.
  15. Try here: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT1550 I haven't used iTunes in a while, but this should help.
  16. Evocative description there. Reminds me of those early morning dreams that I can never quite get back to. Sleep steadily disappears, a speck of a memory too distant to make out. I can almost remember what it was. Gone.
  17. AAC is not proprietary. you should not have any compatibility issues. If you do, you have a rare device.
  18. Weird, didn't know that. Well, now I am in violation of the law. And the law is the law, so off to The Pointless Forest. I love Harry.
  19. Apple will be integrating BEATS into iTunes this year. I imagine it will then do what you want it to do.
