Hi Bol, Just sent you a PM.
-
Can anyone pull up a list or offer a link to the tunes that are on the Past Perfect CD issue of Buddy DeFranco - The Bright One with Sonny Clark. I know it was posted on the board before but I think the thread may have been deleted. Thanks.

I'm looking for some Concord Jazz titles and I noticed that many of these recordings were licensed to Bellaphon Sound Service for release in Europe and reissue in the US. Does anyone know if Concord Jazz CDs can be obtained through Bellaphon directly or through a European mail order service? Thanks.

Wow..what a find!! The stuff that jazz dreams are made of. Happy listening.

One my worst nightmares especially if the set is "timing out" on the last chance list

Looking for the following two Concord Jazz CDs: - Gerry Mulligan and Scott Hamilton - Soft Lights and Sweet Music - Emily Remler - Take Two This is probably a long shot, but if anyone has a clean copy or one or both of these CDs that they're willing to sell or has any leads to a copy, I'd be interested. Thanks.

Mosaics for Sale and other box sets

Hi Mike, Just sent you a PM. Bob -
I just saw an LP album in a used record shop by Greg Marvin on Criss Cross with Tom Harrell released in 1988. Was this ever released on CD? The record was in poor shape with a few scratches. The session looked good though; unfortunately, it's not listed on the Cross Cross webpage as being available.

Hi Jim R. I sent you a PM requesting Eddie's address but I don't know if it went through. Thanks.

Mulligan Concert Jazz Band at Olympia

This all looks great!! Does anyone know if Laserlight/Europe 1 material is available in the US? Thanks. -
Any word of any upcoming releases from Bill Charlap? Charlap's Written in the Stars and Stardust are two of the most beautiful piano jazz albums ("CDs") to appear in many years. Surely it's time for Mr. Charlap to release some more great music.

Hi Jacknife, Just sent you a reply to your PM. Thanks.

Anyone know of a place or perhaps be interetsed in selling a mint/clean/sealed copy of Andrew Hill's Grass Roots on CD for $10 to $12? I'm just starting to get into the music of Andrew Hill and would appreciate any leads on this one. Thanks.

I just picked up a copy of Charles Bell and the Contemporary Jazz Quartet's Another Dimension on an Atlantic LP. A smooth and mellow set from 1962. Aside from this and one other album he did for Columbia, has he recorded before or since? Is he still active in music? If not, what happened to him?

Looking to trade a JRVG for a TOCJ
bebopbob replied to bebopbob's topic in Offering and Looking For...
Deal done. Thanks Dan Bob -
Looking to trade my JRVG copy (mint condition) of Jutta Hipp - At the Hickory House Volume Two for a mint condition TOCJ copy of same. Not a a big fan of the whole JRVG/RVG series.

Just called Stereo Jack's. It's gone. The search continues.

In addition to the Tyrone Washington session mentioned above, how about bringing out the unissued Kenny Dorham Blue Note session from 1961 as a Conn?
-
Is this recording still available on CD in th US? If so, where can I locate a sealed copy as a gift? Amazon has had it listed for quite some time as being "available in two to four weeks". Such a statement makes me believe that it can no longer be obtained and may be out of print.

Just stopped in at J and R in NYC on my lunch hour. They're selling the Conns. for $15.99 each. Any one know of any places in NYC or the internet where I can pick them up for a cheaper price. I was hoping they'd be on sale for $11.99-$12.99 but no such luck. Thanks.

Lawrence Marable - Tenorman went from $22.00 to a high bid of $69.00 within seconds of the auction closing on Sunday - October 5th. For those who are interested in this set, it's available on a Japanese import from Red Trumpet for $18.99. Unfortunately, I don't think it contains the additional track that was available on the US reissue from the late 1980's, but then again is the additional track worth $50.00?

Still waiting for the following to be released on CD for the first time in their original form as opposed to being issued as part of a Mosaic set) Blue Mitchell - Bring It On Home Blue Mitchell - Heads Up Larry Young - Contrasts Andrew Hill Andrew!!! - The Music of Andrew Hill Andrew Hill - Compulsion Jack Wilson - Easterly Winds Kenny Clarke - The Golden Eight Jutta Hipp - At the Hickory House Frank Foster - Manhattan Fever And how about reissuing some of these which haven't been available for years Stanley Turrentine - Thats's Where It's At Pete La Roca - Basra Leo Parker - Let Me Tell You 'Bout It Leo Parker - Rollin' With Leo Tina Brooks - True Blue

Sent you an email regarding the Blakey and getz CDs. Thanks. Bob

Especially at $6.99/$7.99 a disc, skip out on a couple of lunches and grab them all. J&R Music in NYC has all Columbia "Nice Price" CDs on sale for $6.99/disc until October/November which includes the Monk reissues. I don't know if this sale applies to on-line sales though.

I have one too many : Jutta Hipp At the Hickory House Volume 2 which I'd be willing to trade for a clean copy of the TOCJ edition. I just find the JRVGs too awkward and fragile to handle not to mention cumbersome. As fr the sound, they seem to lack warmth and are too close up in sound for me. Any trades on the Jutta Hipp would be appreciated.
