  1. I love John Surman in all his varied incarnations (and there are many) I'd recommend grabbing the tremendous :rarum compilation from ECM and unfurling the albums from there. I mentioned in another recent thread how much I like his solo work from the 80s, though it may come across as dated to some.
  2. We have a link!!
  3. Also, Matos is a great guitarist. I would be interested to hear him in that setting, having only ever heard him with Sara Serpa. Should be a good one.
  4. Matchbox looks like a kicker. I thought Nate McBride had hung it up, but apparently not. Good to see.
  5. Still working on getting one up but should be there tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, this is much harder than it was last time I did it ...
  6. Great!! Can't wait to finally hear it and stop scoping out DIW CDs.
  7. Hm. Crap. Let me start over then.
  8. Just to be clear I was referring to the Hat Hut release. Not yet heard the Ring set.
  9. Hm, sorry about that. I'll look into something else.
  10. http://www.thomkeith.com/bft131.html Here's a working link, many thanks to Thom from this luddite. FWIW I was able to scrub all the info from these files but noticed that on Windows Media Player the album art still comes up for some titles. So avoid that if anyone uses it. Thanks, sorry for the delay, and I hope you enjoy!
  11. PM on: Powell, Bud Inner Fires Elektra Raney, Jimmy A OJC Carter, Benny The Chocolate Dandies 1928-1933 EMI Desmond, Paul and the MJQ Finesse
  12. You want the flipside, go to the 1978 orchestra and the Koln album. For that reason I much prefer it to the Arista (even though I love that one too, of course)
  13. I saw this. Only 6 hours away, but no way I can make it. I'd prefer not to think about it.
  14. Thanks for the Amazon tip, Leeway, I found them there, indeed from Cadence. They were just very, very buried and took several searches even within his items to turn both volumes up.
  15. I have ordered from there twice with no issues. Agree that the pricing is a crapshoot.
  16. Huh. Still basically the cheapest source for the Cecil Taylor Cadence CDs so I guess I'll probably end up getting them from there.
  17. I noticed on the Klompfoot website the shipping rate is $12 for 1-9 CDs. Meaning that if I were to buy a single CD I would be charged $12 shipping. Anyone know if this is actually the case? Is he serious?
  18. I need to pick that one up. I have some of his CD-RS, which are distinctive. Love his playing on Abrams' Unknown Known.
  19. You will be very pleased. Steve Lacy Four - Morning Joy (hatART ed.). Finally!!
  20. Yeah. At any given time Reckless has about 75% of the line for sale at $5-10. The only ones that seem to have become spendy are Complete Machine Gun & Pakistani Pomade.
  21. Hopefully not. But these Atavistic UMS titles are plentiful and affordable, albeit moreso in the US.
  22. Yep, I went in for more. So much for my earlier statement! Chris Lightcap's Bigmouth - Deluxe Stephen Gaucci Basso Continuo Convergence Quartet - Song/Dance Tamarindo - s/t Scott Fields - Five Frozen Eggs Lisa Mezzacappa's Bait & Switch - What Is Known Sonic Openings Under Pressure - Muhheenkatunk
