  11. Today I thought: The beauty of the music on the latter record was one of the things that consoled me in my late teens. Beauty is so important. Ayers' feeling for melody is unsurpassed on this - he turns This Guy's In Love With You into a marvellous cloud in a blue sky. And the most beautiful vibes sound ever.
  12. Eugen Hahn 1941-2020 Eugen Hahn ran Germany's oldest Jazzclub, the Jazzkeller in Frankfurt am Main, for many years - a real nice guy, a real fan, who kept it all going. No idea what it's going to be like after he passed.
