  1. Sadly nor do I. One day
  2. Hmm...Angelica Sanchez is my last offer in that case
  3. Andrew Gold Yoni Silver Tintin
  4. That's a rare one
  5. OK, so thinking about piano trios he's drummed for, is it Mario Pavone? Would make sense with the prominence of the bass
  6. I've just listened to 2 again and I'm wondering if it's Sorey although it's not 'musical' enough for his usual playing but it has the power that I remember from the only time I've seen him live. Obviously not his own piano trio recordings, the polar opposite in fact.
  7. Which 3? allow me to be lazy and not trawl back through the thread
  8. Was looking forward to this but UK release is now delayed
  9. BFT 210. Thanks to @tkeith for the ID and @Pim for putting it on the BFT in the first place. Great to be reminded that I had it!
  10. Damn! I knew I knew that and even said I could probably pull it off my shelves, and I can. Must listen to it
  11. Just a tad perhaps
  12. Big John Patton - Got A Good Thing Goin' [Blue Note, 1966, mono] possibly "the greatest human artistic endeavour of all time." @Rabshakeh It's sounding mighty fine on first spin
  13. Donald Byrd - I'm Tryin' To Get Home [Blue Note, 1965 NY stereo] the choir seems to annoy a lot of online commentary, not me
  14. I've been wondering with that one for a while, is it any good? Thomas and Musson seem an interesting combination
  15. This is fantastic, thanks for posting. I see Mr Bongo have done a reissue, they do good reissues.
  16. And now disc 3 of Jazz Crusaders Mosaic
  17. We don't see Paul rogers here very often at all. I've only seen him 2 or 3 times myself. Long time resident of France. That Dunmall/Rogers/Norton trio on CIMP! I envy you seeing them live
  18. By this stage in his career he may well not see the point of or even enjoy making any more recordings.
  19. Jazz Messengers or Jazz Crusaders?
  20. Same in London over a similar, maybe slightly longer, timeframe. And most of the musicians have even less visibility than the NYC cohort
  21. Yes, it's a very fine album, successfully looking backwards and forwards at the same time. Such great players Now on my first listen to this new arrival, disc.1
  22. A morning with Wadada Leo Smith Disc 1, duets with Milford Graves. Masters at work before... Disc 3. solo
