  1. Enjoy it. I saw them 10 years ago and it was one of the best. Lovens is a joy to witness NP: Alexander von Schlippenbach/Evan Parker/Paul Lovens - Dettol Fra Du Noi [Po Torch Records, West Germany 1981] Interestingly, for those of us who find such things interesting, this isn't credited to the von Schlippenbach Trio but to the three individuals on the front cover but in the typed catalogue insert and the back cover notes it's the Von Schlippenbach Trio...sorry, ex-librarian
  2. You going tonight? I can't make it sadly, especially as I have a ticket
  3. Dreadful, hope he's OK physically. It seems that Steve Lehman and Bennie Maupin also lost homes
  4. 😃that would explain it! I'll now stop beating myself up for being tardy, thank you
  5. And mine
  6. Yes, I came to that late in the year but after several plays it definitely stuck with me. Similarly, Ganavya's 'Daughter Of A Temple' made a late impact
  7. Absolutely terrifying. Here's wishing anyone in the area safety
  8. Thanks for posting this as it alerted me me to its release. I enjoy her previous releases.
  9. Yes, I remember Flashpoint being in mono
  10. That's interesting that it sounds good. I believed that Future Shock is a bootleg label and assumed it might therefore not sound great. Possibly taken from the Japanese CD I guess. An album I'd like to own one day
  11. The earlier Flashpoint is excellent so this is very interesting. Here's the Bandcamp link https://cuneiformrecords.bandcamp.com/album/flashpoints-and-undercurrents
  12. Great album. Beware the original pressing bug Pim, it can get costly. I know from personal experience 🤔
  13. And if you haven't got the emailed receipt any longer just search for the transaction in your PayPal account. From memory it's a 180 day limit for claims though.
  14. At least it wasn't box set duration
  15. I have a friend whose taste is usually reliable who thinks that box is one of Braxton's greatest achievements. I think it may have helped that he saw the band, or one very similar play GTM live
  16. I never got on with that one either, in fact all Ghost Trance Music left me bewildered. The only period of AB's music that has done so
  17. I have had several successful contacts with BC customer services, two in the last 6 months resolving damaged or non-appearing items. If you go to "Purchases", accessed through your profile picture, on the BC site under each purchase you should see a 'order help' link, follow this and you'll be presented with 5 order help options. It's a different layout on the app but essentially the same steps. In every instance I've used this it's either led to the issue being resolved directly by the seller or if not by BC intervention on my behalf. They like you to contact the seller in the first instance.
  18. Bit of a 'Grail' on Rare Groove/Soul scene is my understanding. I played some, sounds good to me but not 4LPs worth. I have a DJ friend of a certain age who was all over this when it was announced.
  19. Me too now. I had no idea about that, thanks for highlighting. I've just found they're performing the scores in March
  20. Those lyrics, especially "it's a dynamo" just go to reassert for me that ELP were as laughably bad as I thought they were when I was 14. Meanwhile, onto the BFT
  21. Immanuel Wilkins - Blues Blood There's depth to this, more the more I listen
  22. Another big 👍for Play Misty For Me Thanks for another interesting selection. Hearing Wishbone Ash again after all these years was a shock I wasn't planning on having and the Johnny Rivers was the big revelation for me And, Happy 2025 to you John and all other BFTers
  23. I like that set
