  1. Sammy Davis Jr Junior Parker Kidd Jordan
  2. Charles Tyler - Eastern Man Alone [ESP Disk, USA 1970 RE] My favourite Tyler, I think
  3. Charles Tyler - Saga Of The Outlaws [Nessa Records, USA 1978] thanks to @Pim I'm reacquainting myself with this gem. A disadvantage of having lots of music is some very good stuff doesn't get played for a long time.
  4. Gaetano Liguori Collective Orchestra - s/t [PDU, Italy 1976] thsi fair barrels along never gone right out but always flirting with it. I love it when a punt comes off
  5. Gruppe Nuova Consonanza - Improvisationen [Deutsche Grammophon, Germany 1969] Jan Garbarek Quartet - Afric Pepperbird [ECM, Germany 1970 RE] The first two from today's delivery. Interestingly the first track on the Garbarek could almost appear on the Gruppe, if you stretch a bit. Maybe unsurprisingly given the provenance, both LPs sound and recording quality is magnificent
  6. Nice one. When I was a music librarian I used to put lots of stickers and barcodes on sleeves and labels just like that. I also saw how the public used or misused the LPs so I think you're definitely lucky if that came from a public library. Or Charles Tyler just wasn't popular... I haven't listened to it in ages, maybe I should
  7. Kevin Rowlands Roland Gift Don Given
  8. Could we arrange for your boss to talk to mine perhaps? Nice Xmas haul
  9. Charles Lloyd and Tyshawn Sorey are both confirming his death on their social feeds. Great master, I only ever saw him with Lloyd but it was very memorable
  10. Chet Kenny Anita
  11. Yes, I recently, within the last 3 months, placed an order from the UK for one LP and 4CDs. Order was dealt with quickly and with no issues whatsoever. Products arrived sealed, as listed, and well packaged for a transatlantic trip. I would order from then again with no hesitation based on this experience.
  12. €100!! Time to offload mine
  13. Wasn't it just. Couldn't believe the reviews it received That's a great set and good news that there's more to come but I have to wonder why they didn't release it all in the first place
  14. And how Wright is as much a rhythm player as the "rhythm section". The build up and then delay of release is great fun throughout too. To my ears it's very original, I can't think of any obvious direct precursor, influences yes as you identify
  15. Release of the year in these parts
  16. Top 5 album of the year for me (yes, I like an EoY list). Evidently he recently broke his arm which isn't great
  17. That's been popping up in end of year lists, must give it a listen
  18. Had, I suspect. I sold it to them a few months ago
  19. Did you buy that in Atlantis by any chance? Oh just noticed we're not spinning vinyl
  20. Someone might have had a word about the vocal
  21. Not FMP and not one I know but tangentially relevant, Aguirre are reissuing 'Patterns'. https://www.aguirrerecords.com/products/noah-howard-patterns-lp?srsltid=AfmBOopdj-Uem9z3xaxsyO4ejHO4a8l2vxAnR9_tFa5juwIhobZbZxfR
