  1. Oh yes, I need to dig that out again
  2. And how do they both compare to the 1st press LPs which I expect you also have? I have a 'Dialogue' and I'm flirting with a 'Components' but I could buy the Mosaic and have change, but no lovely LP ans sleeve to hold...
  3. Thanks both. I suspected that the Delmarks were the best but it's good to get the confirmation as there's so many reissues about these days. Now to fill the inexplicable gap on my shelves
  4. What's the best way to hear both sessions at the moment?
  5. It's in their Artisan range (single LP at €100) so that's going to €150 at least I'd guess. I hope I'm wrong...
  6. 30 years old now, that makes me feel old.
  7. I don't know the NYC album. This is very ECM, limpid, not much Jazz content but ideally gentle for Sunday evening
  8. Florian Weber - Imaginary Cycle, Music for Piano, Brass Ensemble And Flute [ECM]
  9. I had a similar revelation when I discovered Ortega, courtesy of posts here. The Hat CD adds a fair bit to that LP if I remember correctly
  10. Reform Art Unit - Reform Art Unit with Aladdin Adlernest [Kovarik's Musikothek, Austria 1977]

    John Clayton

Why not use Gofundme? It's reputable and works effectively, especially in emergency circumstances like this where the beneficiaries have no longer got postal addresses and are far too busy putting their lives back together to deal with direct donations I would have thought.
  12. Ute Kanngießer, Eddie Provost, Seymour Wright - Splendid Nettle
  13. He has, I gave up trying to keep up years ago now and there was a lot then. I should revisit what I have.
  14. Hope you feel better soon
  15. Apologies, just a mess up with the quote facility which for some reason I couldn't delete
  16. My Only Desire are currently reactivating Michael Garrick's back catalogue https://myonlydesirerecords.bandcamp.com/ Looks like they have got some CDs but also downloads of his later years' recordings
  17. Thanks, I'll have a look for them. Sort of thing Honest Jons might stock
  18. Julius Eastman - Femenine on Frozen Reeds Angles! They're a great band in whichever size
  19. An early one by the looks of it. Like most I only really know his albums from the World Circuit releases onwards Only just noticed that it's Lytton not Lovens tonight. I think now that I recall mention of health issues for Lovens a while back
  20. Yes, that's great fun when it happens
  21. Pim you can have my ticket. If you leave now you should make it 😃 It took me some years to really get Parker but once I did I'm all in no matter who he plays with. I've not seen him live since before Covid and was particularly looking forward to doing so in this trio again
  22. Enjoy it. I saw them 10 years ago and it was one of the best. Lovens is a joy to witness NP: Alexander von Schlippenbach/Evan Parker/Paul Lovens - Dettol Fra Du Noi [Po Torch Records, West Germany 1981] Interestingly, for those of us who find such things interesting, this isn't credited to the von Schlippenbach Trio but to the three individuals on the front cover but in the typed catalogue insert and the back cover notes it's the Von Schlippenbach Trio...sorry, ex-librarian
