Waiting on two of the Ni Vu Ni LPs Not only available on LP, they're available as downloads too
  4. Thanks for the tip
  5. How's the Knoel Scott? I nearly bought it unheard yesterday I really rate that one. World Of Echo?
  6. That's such a good collection, shame about the label, to the best of my knowledge very grey market. I'd love to be corrected
  7. Thanks John, I'm still very much enjoying the others of his I bought from you 😂
  8. John, do you still have Lloyd McNeill's 'Asha' LP on a sale pile by any chance?
  9. Sadly there's more chance of me scoring an original 'True Blue' for £150 than Reading coming back up Chinese owner doesn't seem to be able to pay the taxes or the staff. Two sets of points deduction last year and two transfer embargoes means club is hollowed out. More chance of a consecutive relegation. Hoping for mid table mediocrity All of which means it's a bit ironic that I booked tickets to a match in a few weeks time, it will be the first match I have attended in 45 years
  10. His big move was from Newcastle to Liverpool and then later onto West Ham. He had a very big impact on his international debut with a great goal. It became apparent he really wasn't as good as everyone initially thought. A big traditional centre forward, really not seen much anymore, whose bulk outweighs his finesse, almost always referred to as Big Andy Carroll. Coming towards the end of his career playing for a side who aren't dealing too much in finesse, he's hardly setting the world on fire but still scoring goals now and again which is more than a lot of other Reading players! 🤣 His first competitive goal for the national team, not his debut. Euros 2012. Also, his last goal for England
  11. Those need and want words, give my partner much entertainment when it comes to my music purchasing statements
  12. 1) 1500+ LPs (still adding, too regularly), similar number of CDs (not really adding to),500+ in my download Bandcamp collection 2) I stream maximum 2 albums a day, of about an average 8 played per day, either from Tidal or Bandcamp. I use Tidal to sample but also have a saved collection of albums that don't merit purchasing in hard format. This isn't necessarily due to perceived quality but often a reflection of genre. Tidal Jazz selection doesn't often come up blank for titles I search. Tidal essential for out and about listening.
  13. JALC always sell out the Barbican in London too, fairly regular visitors
  14. I saw an Instagram post saying exactly the same yesterday, you perhaps or there's two copies on the way to resale. I haven't played mine in years, possibly a third
  15. Best to get it over and done with early
  16. That presupposes that Reading's free fall doesn't continue to League 2 next season...transfer embargoes, points deductions and Andy Carroll Dulwich trip sounds great (even with necessity to cross the river). I know someone who really enjoys taking young son to see Hastings Town. That level is where the real football is, perhaps
  17. The mighty Reading FC. Hometown club, watched them as a kid, now distant supporter
  18. Which is why I'm not too sad to be following my team in League One this season, first time for a while in tier 3...
  19. Nice cover design. Bet the music's pretty special too. I have so many recordings by both of them individually and a couple together that I'm not sure I need another but...
  20. I have copies of both of those down to your recommendations at some point over the last few years. Both work for me
  21. Peter Appleyard & Orchestra - Per-cus-sive Jazz [Audio Fidelity, 1960]
  22. Very much enjoying episode 22, my first episode. I don't visit Mixcloud often, is it possible to get a full track rundown somewhere on the app? Scratch that, seen how to do so now
  23. Sorry, not paying sufficient attention
  24. Coppola's 'One From The Heart' perhaps Although the Waits/Gayle album is hardly household famous except in my household Marvin's 'Troubleman'? Quadrophenia Tommy?
