  1. odd thing is that the warmest sound now has the iciest look.
  2. there's an "O" missing in "Booty," no?
  3. heheheh
  4. the logo kix! what does the tiny text on the "label" say?
  5. 1951, Bird recording session for Verve 1956, Kenny Burrell - Introducing Kenny Burrell (BN) 1957, Charles Mingus records for Atlantic (The Clown/Tonight at Noon) 1963, J.J. Johnson - J.J.'s Broadway (Verve)
  6. yes, this site launched into something big with the start of this year. Some great stuff collected there, surf around!
  7. Did Hank ever lose his velvet touch? Wonderful player from what I have heard.
  8. great story Garth
  9. 1963, Freddie Hubbard records 3 more tunes for his Body and Soul album (Impulse!), interestingly Dolphy recorded live in Illionois the day before and is now in Englewood Cliffs again for this session. 1968, AEoC recording session for Nessa 2002, Quartet Out - Live at the Meethouse (Musica Con Carne)
  10. Well, there's always Irish Black Bottom by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five... listen here
  11. 1954, the back of my LP sleeve says that Miles recorded three tunes for Blue Haze (Prestige), discographies indicate otherwise (15 March). 1965, Leo Wright - Flöte + Alt Sax (Amiga) 1980, Gillespie, Dizzy / Freddie Hubbard / Clark Terry / Oscar Peterson - The Trumpet Summint Meets the Oscar Peterson 4 (Pablo)
  12. if copy protection is involved, European law requires that it be mentioned. No mention, no protect. I have had no problems playing this disk on either my regular CD player, not my diskman, nor may computer drive. Will be scrolling back for that oscillating/phasing stuff now, don't think there's any of that either on my disk though.
  13. the illinois highway seems restricted to angelfire members, IOW the pic won't load but rather shows some wordy message.

  15. still has that strange distortion on the vibes though... then again, I am the only one hearing that, and the music is fantastic, so jump, don't run!
  16. nice stuff!! some observations: the borders on the new buttons are rather sharp, sharper than the border around the main field/table. I see the new blue stripe is a tad darker/more intensive than the old one. it makes the buttons spring some more, which might be good, but for the moment it looks awkward. Maybe rather the text in the buttons needs some more contrast, though actually, I am a big fan of the subdued approach. like I said: nice stuff
  17. more peaches = good 'cause peach = friendly
  18. damn! it's dark here too! what a coincidence! (that new camera does some neat things!) If you are referring to the flash, yes, a mighty one indeed. schwinggggg!!!
  19. I only hear a very very very minor bit of crackling noise at 2:35 into the track. less than two snowflakes. There seems to be a single equally minor click at 2:20, less than a needle pin
  20. can you please point out where this defect is supposed to be? All through the track or just at a certain point? can you give some time indications?
  21. damn! it's dark here too! what a coincidence! (that new camera does some neat things!)
  22. It is...just appeared yesterday. One thing I noticed on the label is that it says '22-bit remastering'. I don't think I've ever seen anything with 22-bit......is this just flat out wrong? 22 bit is for amateurs.
