That's what the Lord and other sources say. The Blue Note Label Discography book (Cuscuna/Ruppli) says that this session (the one with Eddie Bert and Tal Farlow and Melle's first session for BN) was recorded on January 31, 1953. O the joys of Discography the booklet to the Complete BN 50s sessions mentions the Bert/Farlow session as the second one. The first session featured Bert, Manning, Wallington, Mitchell, and Roach plus Monica Dell, and was recorded on March 2, 1952, according to the booklet.
