From musictap: Island Records will spruce up Exodus from Bob Marley and the Wailers as a Special 30th Anniversary Edition. This reissue is expected on November 20. Not sure how this will differ from the current deluxe edition, which is a nice package already. Maybe a reissue with a bonus dvd, like the Sound + Vision edition of Legend?

From musictap: Fantasy Records will release the jazz title of Blue Soul from Blue Mitchell, scheduling the disc for March 4. Fantasy also plans Sextet in New York from Cannonball Adderley on the same date. Concord Records will release The New Crystal Silence from Chick Corea and Gary Burton, with a release date of February 5.

Ebay craziness isn't limited to vinyl or box sets. I was looking for a particular Hot Wheels toy for my son for a Christmas gift, and it's up to $126 with almost 3 hours left. Granted, it's not one of the 99 cent Hot Wheel cars you can buy off the shelf, but it's not worth more than $20-30, IMO. edit - final price for this TOY was $190.50!!

If people want to post primarily in the political forum, that's their choice. As I said, it seems odd to me to hang out at a jazz bb and not really talk jazz or music very much. I'm sure there are probably bulletin boards out there that are dedicated to politics, just as this one is for the O-band and jazz. Doesn't it get tiring for the 2-3 most vocal liberals and the 2-3 most vocal conservatives to constantly argue with each other, knowing they're not getting anywhere? Either way, different strokes....

I can't think of anyone meeting that description. MG There used to be a place on the board (must have been on people's profiles) that told you which forum they posted the most in. I can't find it now, since the board software has been updated, so I don't know if that is tracked anymore. But there are/were posters here with upwards of 80% of their posts in the political forum.

Here's a that someone took and set to Porcupine Tree's "Collapse the Light Into Earth", that (I think) fits the song perfectly. It's simple, but I can't stop watching it.

I don't think there's a problem. We're all at different stages in our listening - sometimes we talk about music, and sometimes we talk about other things. The only thing I don't really get is people who only post in the politics forum on a jazz bulletin board, and essentially/effectively nowhere else.

We've reached both extremes "couldn't be happier", and "utterly disgusted" already, in the first 3 posts in this thread. I could (couldn't?) care less about whether the character is gay. If his sexuality is a factor in the story line, ok fine, move along. If it's not a factor, then why is there this big annoucement by Rowling? Seems like it's much ado about nothing - probably to keep the Potter franchise in the public eye more than anything else, during a lull between books and movies.

I ordered one from the Swiss marketplace seller about a week ago. I'm curious whether this will show up, but they have it listed as "in stock", so we'll see. About the same price as Amazon UK to the U.S.
