All time record 13' storm surge in Battery Park, NY, Aloc. But you're right, people should have gone to work, darnit.
And here is Atlantic City earlier today, with parts of the Boardwalk gone. The worst is yet to come still.
Dangerous crane dangling off a building in Manhattan. No worries for you personally though, Aloc.
My wife just told me it sounds like the roof is coming off her house in NJ.
Worried for my wife and her kids, who live east of Philly in NJ. That area is bracing for the worst. With so many trees expected to topple and bring down power lines, it's going to take a while to get electricity back up. And if it's as cold as expected with the snow/front, it could be tough for folks to stay warm w/o electricity.
And I agree with mjzee, the mass transit systems may be down for a while which will cause chaos.
Tell ya what - I actually changed two of my picks (was trying to pick Cincy over Pitt and Carolina over Dallas) an hour before kickoff yesterday, but then apparently forgot to hit the save button. I guess I'm glad I forgot, now!
...couple of pictures I took at the John Scofield show at the Blue Note, this past Saturday. These guys play like one musician inhabiting three bodies.
For those that like Prine's debut album, the recent release "Singing Mailman Delivers" would be worth checking out. The first disc is a set of recordings he made at WFMT Studios in Chicago for copyright purposes, about a year before the first album, with alot of the same songs. The second disc is a great live set from November 1970.
TMI dude! So, as long as you're sharing, what's it like?
It's actually half-decent. Got a slight hint of pineapple in it, of all things. I'm not sure I'd buy it regularly, but it's worth checking out if you see it on the shelf.
