I'd never heard of it until this thread actually. Kobe apparently coined it himself. I don't like self generated nicknames - reminds me of Michael Jackson declaring himself "King of Pop"... which he is most certainly not. He lives in AZ. That address by his avatar is the address for Sanford & Son I believe.

Is that a new nickname? I've never heard it in all the years Kobe's been a Laker.

I don't think Facebook will help you, to be honest. It's not a place where masses of people go to look for concert information. There are sites for specific bands on there (including our illustrious hosts), which is good for getting word out for their shows - but typically that's for people who are already fans of the band. Unless the musicians you are employing already have Facebook pages, in which case you/they could advertise on their pages, to their pre-existing fan base.

I've got an extra #167 The Complete Blue Note Sam Rivers Sessions (3 CDs). Yes, I'm an idiot and bought something I already had. Be willing to trade it for for a similar set, if there's anyone out there interested.

The packaging/booklets of the Selects are not in the same league as that of the regular Mosaics, Niko. The Selects are "budget" oriented offerings from Mosaic, or at least they were when they started the program, I think. So the information and packaging are quite a bit simpler.

I'm interested in checking out alll three of these titles, thanks for the heads up, Bev! Interesting to see a WR tribute on ECM.

For anyone interested in the Yes "In a Word" 5 disc box set, there's a seller (Deep Discount DVD CD) on Amazon offering it for about $15 shipped. I bought it because there are a couple of exclusive tracks on it. Just like I bought the 3 disc "Ultimate Yes" set. Even though I have all of the original albums. Sigh.

Found a couple of interesting titles at that big box store that starts with a "W" today: Jackson Browne - Running On Empty cd + dvda Steely Dan - Everything Must Go cd + dvd Bob Dylan - MTV Unplugged Each of these were $5! I think they're remaindered or something, which is odd to find in a big retailer.
