  1. These are out. So - I go to Dusty Groove & try to buy Morning Joy. The next day I get an e-mail saying it's "sold out". I e-mail Squidco, & Phil says it's not out yet but they'll carry it when it's released. What's going on??
  2. Also with Jackie McLean. Wasn't Anthony Braxton writing something for 100 tubas?
  3. Ralph Alessi Qt. (Versace, Helias, Cleaver)
  4. Josh Sinton (Ideal Bread)
  5. Bill Hearne CD release party
  6. I like chocolate & peanut butter, but I like chocolate & lemon better - so Ornette & Don Cherry.
  7. Dennis Lehane: Moonlight Mile
  8. On my DVR - no spoilers please.
  9. Mine arrived too - from Amazon US.
  10. Hope you put out some of your own music soon!!
  11. 2012 Booker Remnant. Another great red blend from this Paso Robles winemaker.
  12. Finished Line Of Duty - season 2. Hope there's a 3. Now on to Homeland - season 3.
  13. "Tootie", Iverson & Street have a very nice Smalls CD from 5-6 years ago.
  14. I also like the Cobb quartet CD.
  15. Relatively brief, but worthwhile.
  16. The Plains Indians: Artists Of Earth & Sky Now at the Nelson - Atkins Museum in Kansas City. Goes to the Metropolitan in New York in the spring. Not to be missed!!
  17. Reginald Workman: The Works Of Workman (Denon) I had this on vinyl - sold many years ago. Not sure if this solo bass album has ever been on CD.
  18. Amazon for me. Nobody offered me a free copy.
  19. I have it. Agree it's excellent. There's another new Wadada CD on Rare Noise that's fine too - but much different.
  20. I have a Venus CD where Lewis Nash is spelled Nush throughout.
  21. 75 tracks on 5 CDs. No real info (other than Cassandra Wilson and Norah Jones are on Disc 4) This is the puffery: Each of the five discs covers a specific era, from boogie to hard bop, soul jazz to the roots revival of the 90's, and the 21st century trailblazers like Robert Glasper and Gregory Porter. Not interested in this or the Monk. I'm so done with buying the same material over and over. Me too!
