  1. Yes it was / is. I'll open mine tomorrow / today.
  2. My purchase of Steve Lacy: Scratching The Seventies arrived. So far very cool!!
  3. Well, I've actually enjoyed him with Terry / Brookmeyer & Eddie Daniels (who also doesn't seem to be a favorite around here).
  4. How do you like it ? Moore is one of my favorite writer ("Birds of America" was brilliant). I thought the Moore was excellent.
  5. Thanks! Time flies - better than not.
  6. Has anyone heard this yet (482 Music)??
  7. Semi - Luddite that I am, I'm not sure how to do that.
  8. Played Juba Lee today. Very nice IMO. Will get to the others soon. I wonder if the other Fontanas will be released.
  9. I pre-ordered the Ideal Bread set. I also had a $25 Amazon gift card & ordered the Lacy: Scratching The Seventies 3 CD set. It was the last copy at Amazon marketplace & has already shipped - the gift card made the price palatable, at least to me.
  10. That's great! Let us know what you think of them. Delivered - I'll let you know.
  11. Good news (finally) for me - my package from Jazz Messengers is in Albuquerque & should be delivered here in Santa Fe tomorrow or Thursday. Shipped Mar. 7 - will arrive Mar. 26 or 27. Seems long to me but at least it wasn't lost.
  12. That's too bad. I think you and I ordered them around the same time? Now 19 days - still not here.
  13. Great episode. "Major" for sure.
  14. Well - I'm at 17 days & counting from Spain so maybe there's still hope.
  15. That's sort of reassuring. Did you get a shipping notice from Clean Feed? However, FWIW, stuff from Amazon UK gets here in a week.
  16. I'm getting a little perturbed. My order was apparently shipped on Mar. 7. So far has NOT arrived. On the upside, Jazz Messengers has said in reply to my e-mails that they will reship the order if it hasn't arrived in the next few days. Meanwhile my credit card has been charged & I have nothing.
  17. Lorrie Moore: Bark
  18. I agree. Very distinctive player, at least to me.
  19. listening to the Roebke for the first time - first impressions positive. It sounds just like you'd expect this line-up to sound (which for me is fine). Respect for the past but making music that's definitely now. somewhat like Berman, Stein, Rede in fact all of them seem to have achieved on their own recordings. I'm very impressed by most everything this generation of Chicago players are putting out So am I!!
