Interesting. I'm sorry to hear that Kenny Clarke didn't think that the MJQ was "jazz" & that Milt Jackson "hated" John Lewis.

My kids bought me one. I gave it to my wife. She loads (is that the right word?) everything. When I want to hear something she "finds" it for me. Pretty good deal.

How are his novels? I have a copy of "The Yiddish Policemen's Union" but haven't read it yet. A friend also recommended "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" to me recently. They're both well worth your time. As I recall, Kavalier & Clay won the Pulitzer. Just started Barbara Kingsolver: Lacuna

I only have the Moscow (2008) CD which is very good.

That's a great DVD.

In view of the above I'm glad I sold my vinyl copy years ago for some pretty good $$.

Excellent show. The "dreaded" vocoder was only used once.
