  1. FWIW, I don't look at the political or religious threads. Not what I'm here for.
  2. Of the ones you listed, I'd get the Byrd / Adams & the Carmell Jones.
  3. Philly Joe is a "trip" on this album. Elmo is fine & there is some John Gilmore (never enough). I have it on CD & enjoy it.
  4. Since it says "music or otherwise", I'll say George Pelecanos novels.

    Lee Katzman

Don't see much about this trumpeter. I've always thought the World Pac. LP led by Pepper Adams called Critics Choice featuring Katzman should be issued on CD. Just found a CD called Lee Katzman Meets Supersax. Has Jimmy Rowles on piano. I've listened several times and really like it. Try it if you see it.

I seem to remember an LP called Orange Fish Tears. Anybody else remember this???
  7. My order for all 3 just confirmed.
  8. Lon - I did too! Hope we both get all 3. Hard (impossible) to resist.
  9. I like 'em. Satellite Rides & Drag It Up are well worth it.
  10. That's the one. Has anyone ever seen this on CD???
  11. Nommo is the one I had on vinyl & sold.
  12. Was it ever on CD? I had it a "million" years ago on LP. Sold it for (relatively) big $$ when I got out of vinyl. Would probably buy it again if there was a CD.
  13. The Outpost Performance Space Albuquerque Contact Tom Guralnick
  14. I just checked CD Universe again & they have reduced the price of the set by $7. So I canceled my original pre-order & reordered it at the lower price.
  15. I think Bunky's real first name is something like Vernice. Is that better?
  16. The only 2 I don't have are the Hill & the Young. So - I'll get those 2. Addendum/disclaimer: Actually I don't have the Hutcherson & the Silver, but they don't interest me. I also don't collect DVDs.
  17. While $27 might be a stretch, I do want to say that Music Selection has been very reliable in my experience. FWIW, I have no connection with them except as a consumer. Sometimes I've "held my nose" & paid the price if I just had to have something.
  18. Lon - that's a good CD too.
  19. Me too. This actually could be a pretty good CD. Is Ledonne on piano or organ??
  20. Dusty Groove used to have it, but alas not anymore. Don't know if they could still get it. You might also try http://www.musicselection.com
  21. To try someone relatively new - Jamie Baum.
  22. Mine has finally been "dispatched" from the U.K.. Looking forward to it. Good price too.
  23. Thanks jazzshrink. Most interesting.
  24. It's mostly about lifestyle. Diets for the most part don't work long term. What are the first 3 letters of the word diet? BTW, I'm 5' 11", 63 years old, weigh 153 pounds, exercise almost every day.
