  4. He is really good ! The most complete discography of Lou Bennett on the Internet is here : http://mitglied.lycos.de/condouant/lou.html (only his first 45 recorded in the States in 1958 is missing). The album with Ximo Tébar (who played a lot with Joey De Francesco) is listed. I think Lou is not playing a standard B-3 on this album, he is probably using his "Bennett Machine", isn't it ?
  5. Yes, I saw her in Paris a few months ago. She's really good...! But I do not have albums where she plays.
  6. A critically acclaimed and commercially ignored album ! jazzannviolin, follow the recommendations above and then, have a look to this website : www.abar.net. Anthony Barnett is the specialist of strings in jazz.

  10. I've received mine yesterday morning in the mail box! Two days between GB and France! Really fast!

  14. UP ! I've just bought an iPod and do not find good jazz podcasts... Please, help !
  15. Johnny must be happy (and also tired !) to receive so many phone calls from all over the world for 2 days now ! Anyway, I'm happy to know that his B-day was a good one !
  16. Dear Hans, The album Stéphane Grappelli / Elek Bacsik (LP, I never saw it on CD) contains live performances (french broadcasts stolen by Italian producers!) of : - Stéphane Grappelli on one side (4 tracks) - 3 tracks attributed to Elek Bacsik on the other side, but on Summertime it is Coco Briaval with his two brothers René and Gilbert. Not the same concert, nor sidemen (no piano). If you want the live recording of Summertime by Briaval I can send you a mp3 (I must do a transfer). The link to Djangostation was only to show who Briaval was, but Summertime on the LP "Les Briaval" is a different version (studio). I do not have this one in my possession but the webmaster of Djangostation is a friend and I can ask him to send you a mp3 if you want. Best Steven
  17. Me too ! Hope it was a very good one. Thanks again for the photos !
  18. ------------------------------------------------- I agree completely with you... Let's keep a Leffe in the refrigerator... !
  19. Thank you guys, I still accept your kind wishes ! I've drunk an Eku 28 (an alcohol content of 11% !) What about a Samichlaus, brown beer of 13,7 % from Switzerland (Hürlimann in Zurich, and also Austria I think) ? Thanks again
