Yes, nice for filling in some missing titles, thanks. The McCord is not really jazz or even particularly close, but a nice enough album on its own terms. More of a talented 17 year old greatly influenced by the likes of 1969-era Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins.
Moncur's 'New Africa' is my pick of that label's output by a mile. Also, Shepp's 'Yasmina, A Black Woman', the other Moncur, and the Arthur Jones are all really good.
Thankfully already available as downloads. Wish there were CD's (or that the downloads were cheaper). Anyone familiar with these albums? How good are they?
