  1. Sorry to hear that, amazing body of work.
  2. Would LOVE to hear that!
  3. John Hicks and Joanne Brackeen for me from that series.
  4. I saw a good bit of Winters on TV in my youth, know exactly what you mean. Most of the Euro PD labels cut off at 1962, hence the missing Winter titles, though Enlightenment takes their sets through 1964.
  5. Berman, but not Sahl. I have the Winters and Berman, and actually get more from the Berman. And the early Lenny Bruce stuff is brilliant. https://images.app.goo.gl/PjskuQSiPyc27zMJ8
  6. The Complete Albums 1959-62 https://a.co/d/4GzNcee
  7. I'm also now talked into it eventually.
  8. I'm also in for the Abrams Young At Heart/Wise in Time solo side as my #1 pick. Abrams, Randy Weston, Mal Waldron, and Andrew Hill come to mind as my favorite artists for the sub-genre, but I'll have to go back to my shelves for specific titles.
  9. I'm in eventually. Hope someone besides bandcamp carries it.
  10. Cuts 1 and 2 are vol 1? All three cuts good playing/good listening as promised.
  11. Artist's rendering of my system:
  12. The 2003 CD reissue sounds plenty good to me, big jump forward from the original CD. As always, YMMV.
  13. I have a DVD of a performance from that tour, and it's nothing short of miraculous.
  14. Seems to be a lot of magic in those ORTF and Onkel Po recordings.
  15. And I'm far from alone on both counts:
  16. I came into contact with his younger brother David (amazing man, storied career at CDC and elsewhere, has his own Wikipedia page) a few years ago, and he provided me a copy of 'Fast Company' and hipped me to the Lenny McBrowne albums.
  17. And do they count previous reissues by our Andorran friends?
  18. I'm in for the 1962-1966 set with all new Giles Martin remixes. They have been stunning so far. No need for the later set, as I have the remixes of the later albums. The stuff where the other guys dub on top of dead John's demos has always creeped me out, and I have no desire to own it.
  19. Dan, the guy on the left looks like you reacting to the music on one of my BFT's!
  20. I own it and the previous two in the series, and am well pleased with all three. The first one is a treasure. I also like the companion sets which have remasters/repackaging of the albums released at the time.
