  1. Alright then, my promise to myself for my 2024 BFT! :
  2. Still collecting that deferred money every year through 2035. Actually getting checks from both the Mets and the Orioles every year though 2028, then just the Mets.
  3. Did anyone really think Ohtani end up with any team other than the Dodgers?
  4. Picked up a bunch of Black Jazz titles from the Real Gone annual sale. Already had them all in older CD versions, but glad for the upgrades.
  5. 'Homecoming' , best thing I've ever heard by Daniels. A surprise keeper for me.
  6. That's actually my very favorite Miles album
  7. New Years Eve Day, Dec. 31, though 10 of the 12 cuts have been ID'd at this point. Only #3 (with that mystery vibes player) and #10 are still unidentified.
  8. I would think so. That is the original album cover, and Black Jazz was a legit label that did not cut corners. Here's the cover of his other album for that label.
  9. R.I.P. interesting career, good connections!
  10. Leadoff cut on my BFT 213 two years ago! And that Brass Construction track is another winner!
  11. I often buy CD's in batches to save on shipping, so it can take me a while to get to them, but I play the whole disc if it's one I'm going to keep (I will bail on some cheap used ones which were musical "lottery tickets" if I decide I'll be movng it along). Streaming, I am generally just going to youtube for a single track I am in the mood to hear, or to sample something specific I haven't heard and am curious about. I don't borrow discs from the library (outmoded by streaming) and don't pay for downloads (have bought, I think, three downloads ever).
  12. Not ideal, but full album is available on youtube.
  13. Agreed it looks great, and agreed I'm not likely to ever pick it up due to cost and capacity (too many CD's/books/movies, too little space/time, money supply is finite).
  14. Not Stewart, more obscure.
  15. Also a Cookers (David Weiss & illustrious company) album.
  16. There's actually a very interesting reason for that!
  17. That was a phone accident. I do much better posting from laptop.
  18. It is not Dickerson!
  19. I love Gene Clark's music, start (Byrds) to finish.
  20. 3 and 10 remain unidentified. I suspect no one is going to get 10, but 3 should most certainly be ID'd in this neighborhood!
  21. Chic still gets extensive play in my household (Rodgers/Edwards/Thompson is still the rhythm section that most closely matches my inner workings), as do the Sister Sledge and Norma Jean Wright albums they produced. And I still own and play albums by Donna Summer, Rose Royce, Gloria Gaynor, and Evelyn Champagne King among others.
