Chicago mail service is erratic at best. Once I had sent a box priority mail to Chicago, and it arrived two weeks later. Another time I shipped media mail and it arrived in two days. Doesn't matter -- Dusty Groove, a camera repair shop I had used, customers from ebay. Chicago was just weird with mailing. But I can also see, given the people who work at Dusty Groove, delayed shipping and other miscellaneous stuff. Once my credit card was charged for items I didn't buy -- and not through the store. Someone from there took my numbers and decided to do a little shopping. This was many years ago.

Then Sonos would be a better option for those seeking a high networked solution.

Well, I just connect it to my stereo with an rca jack. Stream stuff from my computer. If I want to stream it to another room I would get another one. But I don't live in a world where outputting the music through multiple sources simultaneously makes sense.

I have it. Gave it a brief test run before the baby came and wrecked my listening time. The sound quality is excellent.

Season three was a bit of a let down. But after watching that series, follow it up with the cartoon series, done a few years later. Those were great -- short and to the point. I hated the 80's shows.

I'll let you know. Right now I am using for the commute the Amazon Basics headphones, a surprisingly excellent $25 headset that is light, comfortable, and decent but not high end sound. But let's face it, when I am on the subway I'm not gonna need all that range. What it does have is excellent clarity.

The cans should be coming in today. It is a type of headphone that has had many iterations. It is also known as the Brainwave HM5, I believe, but much cheaper, and reports from other users have been the comfort level is excellent. You can swap out the ear cups from flat to angled. The headphone wire can be removed and upgraded, if need be. The band itself is very flexible.

I did get the Fiio X11K, which complements the X1. It's an amp, and I got it for the purpose of eventually connecting it to my stereo, as well as for the NVX XPT100 headphones I ordered. Basically for late night set up to deal with baby crankiness.

They are not compatible with itunes. But you can drag and drop folders directly into the flash card via connecting the player to the computer through a micro usb cable. I picked the 1 over the 3 & 5 because of the improved physical user interface.

Just a follow up: for anyone looking for an affordable high quality music player, this Fiio X1 does the trick. The sound is excellent, and the flexibility of swapping micro sd cards is a plus. It is a bit more hands on when coming to creating playlists -- essentially you have to create a folder on your computer and add the files yourself (a known issue that will be apparently addressed in a future firmware upgrade). The operating system is smooth and you can easily put this in your shirt pocket. I am running 24/192 flacs and it is flawless. Mp3s sound very fine as well.

I have that Wand you mentioned and it is good. Not tempted to buy the big box at all. Would be very interested in the Eichhorn but am curious to see if it gets a reissue here or in Europe.
