This morning they said on the news that it wasn't track error, but the luger's. I call BS on that, after seeing the video. I have NEVER seen a track that had concrete posts close to the track like that. Poor track design.

I-95 is shut down. Traffic is stuck out there, mostly tractor trailers, who have no business being out there. 30" and counting.

I'm at my fiancee's over in Herndon and after doing a bit of shoveling, I got a pile of music to listen to. Listened to the Kenny Dorham Uptown cd and have been enjoying that very much.

Looking out the window now -- the car's buried already! And it won't stop snowing until tomorrow night.....

The Henry Grimes, Sunny Murray, and Har-You Percussion Group are must haves as well.

Great point. Les Baxter was the master of this "inauthentic" world music. Fun and very original music, nevertheless.

Oppo is supposed to come out with a lower end Blu Ray player in early 2010. Don't know if it is supposed to be all region.

Well, it's going to be a good day to kick back and catch up on some reading and listening to tunes. Here in DC, we got socked with over a foot of snow so far, with another foot to come. The past few winders have been mild to say the least, but we are making up for it in a hurry. We NEVER get this kind of snow in December -- it usually happens in late January or February. Listening to Peter Green's Anthology on Salvo, a great 4 cd compilation of this guitar great. Digging into "The Last Empress" by Hannah Paulka, a new bio of Madame Chang Kai-Shek.

The Kinks' "Picture Book" box set, available only from the UK Amazon site. 7 1/2 hours of great music!

Haunt your local Goodwill/other thrift store. Look for Boston Acoustics, JBLs, Infinitys, etc. of the bookshelf variety. You'll never know what you might stumble across -- you might have to refoam the woofers, but it is not expensive nor hard to do.
